As a child, I remember going to the library ...
As a child, I remember going to the library and checking out the Tintin books and being drawn into the adventure, wishing I could be Tintin. Now in my late 20's, I have decided to purchase all the Tintin books so that when my 2 year old is a bit older, I can share the world of Tintin with him :-D

The Bolsheviks as they really were at the height of their power
Excellent period portrayal .Shows what the world was like then.I was born before the Coronation, and Stalin was on the Soviet throne.

My son who is 39 was delighted with this book. He has had a lifetimes interest in Tintin and after watching the Frank Gardner BBC2 programme on Herge of Tintin in Russia, I felt this book would top his collection, especially being in hardback form. A must for Tintin addicts!

Good - but remember it was written for children.
A good story - and one that shows that Herge was not taken in by the propaganda defending the oppressive Soviet regime in the 1920s. But remember this was intended for children - it is not a modern "graphic novel".

Tintin in the Land of the Soviets
I just love the stories, so why buy the book when you could get the Dvd.? Because it wasn't done. Officer PC Co'wreckt at the time, wouldn't allow it. Hence we buy the book.
