Works well new out of the box, sound not compromised while charging.I find this type of charging an listening cords last about 2-3 years, then fail by the connection to the phone stop making good contact. This is a different design from my prior ones, but time will tell. I will expect this to work well when new and to likely die in 2-3 years. Maybe that is all I should expect for the price. I don't find my other cords to stop making good connection, so I suspect weak production quality as the cause.

Great little product! Use it to keep my 13in iPad pro charged up in my car while merging my audio with my Alexa auto connected to my phone. The DAC is nice enough quality that I notice no degradation in sound quality. I appreciate the L shaped USB-C port as it keeps the iPad looking sleek in my car.

great for hanging on key chain (i add a rubber band around it so it holds firmly, but even though it says it has DAC feature it's really quiet with car aux jack.

BenFei is always better than you expect: the design is more thoughtful, the quality and finish is superb, and the things last and last. I have always liked to listen to classical music at night, most recently through internet, European stations, piped to a little bedside hifi. But getting the music from my iPhone to the stereo (an old, hi quality one without wireless connection) has been tricky. Adapters never worked for long, or ever very well, until this one.

I haven't been able to isolate exactly what's going on here. There is a audible buzz in the audio and I haven't been able to eliminate it. I've tried several cords and power adapters. Haven't quite found the right combination yet to eliminate The buzz. I think it needs a filter capacitor but it doesn't have but that's just my thought. It does work exactly as it's supposed to beond that.

Works great to use older headphones

I purchased this item for two reasons - how it plugs into itself for better storage and that I can charge my phone while using the headphone. I have no problem with those two features but after using it for a month, very light use as well (indoor on desk, max 4 hrs a week) it already has a connection problem. it cuts in and out, and this morning, it's not usable.Another thing to note, the headphone's remote and mic doesn't seem to work. I am not complaining about it because maybe that's something that cannot be done with such adapters but a thing to note for people who are not aware. I am using Apple's regular headphones.

Got this so i can ise some of my old but really good wired headphones that don't have a a usb-c plug but a regular jack
