Q: Anyhone else notice that connecting D12 to an android tablet or phone using a 3.5mm cable, you can get sometimes hear quite loud hum?

I've never hooked up a line in cable to this great little speaker but have hooked up a subwoofer with no problems or noise. Bluetooth works great and the sound is very good. When using a mobile device like a phone, why hook up a line in cable when you have bluetooth?

Q: Can you link a pair of s2000mkiii to this and us it as a center speaker?

If Bluetooth does it for you, fine, but you can get cleaner audio without the slight lag between speaker and voice if you connect the optical port behind your TV via an optical cable to an inexpensive DAC (google dacs on Amazon). Connect your dac to the speaker's RCA inputs. Go into the audio settings on your TV to select an alternative setting that allows optical output. Alternatively, connect the coaxial output on your DVD player to the coax port of your DAC.
