This supplement has helped to curb my appetite from mid-morninig to late afternoon and helped me avoid snacking. I've had a few pounds of weight loss in the last month, so I am very pleased. No upset stomach like other Berberine products I've tried.

A while back I had tried a different berberine. Taking 1200 as the bottle instructed. After a week or so I got violently ill. So after a month or so being off of them I bought this brand as it has 1/4 of the Berberine and I thought it would be more of what I could stomach. Not so. After just one pill yesterday I was up all night diarrhea and vomit. So be careful, I wanted to take it for my glucose level which is not really high, but It’s not to be. I must be allergic to it. You can’t get your money back with this so be aware.

When I took this product it was as a alternative to prescription meds and I didn't experience any nausea or anything like that but it did make me really tired. Because of what I already deal with with diabetes the extra tiredness was something I didn't want to deal with so I did discontinue them but the pills are easy to take otherwise.

This brand of Berberine is much better than the brand originally recommended to me by my doctor.

I like the product but, they are too expensive

I got this mostly for the benefits the Berberine may have since it is the primary ingredient in this. I say 'may' with regards to benefit but I do get lower glucose readings when I take this. Nothing huge but it keeps me below 100 and my A1 C runs around 5. And I also like the Alpha Lipoic Acid in this. So much so that I take it everyday at 600 mgs. The reason I like it is first it has an ability (may) to recharge some antioxidants to be able to continue fighting oxidants after what normally would have ended that ability. The second reason it is though by many to be an excellent if not the best detox supplement there is. It is said that it is the only one that can cross the blood brain barrier. And the last reason is that it is thought it prevents beta cell destruction (which produce insulin) and possibly enhances glucose uptake thus lowering glucose levels and possibly helping with weight loss.Here lately some people are touting berberine for weight loss. And I have seen it mixed with all the supposed possible weight loss supplements like Ceylon Cinnamon, Milk Thistle, Bitter melon and Banba Leaf. And I have been wondering why not with ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid) ? And here we are and it's absolutely no surprise it's this company CodeAge who did it. If you look at their products,, they tend to come up with new innovative ways to make the normal better. Just look a their product line and I think you can grasp what I'm getting at. Completely different angles on supplements that appear to be effective and definitely worth a try IMO.Now about that glucose reduction with berberine. Some people I know who have tried it do not get any glucose reduction. With weight loss I like most people did not get a benefit there but I do know a few that did. So this is definitely like most supplements in what may work me,, may not work for you and vice versa. I think that is due to our unique body chemistry and our personal diets.So there is ALA in this at 100 mgs. When ALA is made half is S type and half is R type. The S type is a byproduct that has no benefit. What we want is the R type so we would be getting 50 mgs out of this 100 mgs which is not even close to being enough IMO. So I would personally take more. And the way I see it is that some is better than none so I am happy to see the ALA in this. Some speculate that ALA and Berberine together will work synergistically and more powerful together. I have seen no such studies that support that but I can't say it's impossible. It would not surprise me considering how they work.Now with this being a Phytosome it is broken down more tiny than normal so we can hopefully absorb even more than we normally do. Then this company added Phosphatidylcholine to make it 'liposomal like' to protect it from stomach acids and what not to help protect it with it's trip to its destination. This would in theory make it even more bioavailable. So what does this all mean ? Possibly you could get the best results ever since you may get more absorbed and used by the body. It might be possible to get results even though in the past you didn't.So it's manufactured in the USA which normally can mean it's simply put in the box for shipping here. But with this company they really do make it here in the USA with their blends and mixes they create. This is also third party lab tested in the USA. This being third party lab tested in the USA is extremely important to me as I have bought my fair share of fakes. Consider this is a small company whom which I love to support and they spent the money to make the product here in the USA ( as it's so much easier to custom order one from overseas) and third party lab test it here ! Now I take 500mgs 3 times a day before food (30 minutes) each day for a total 1500 mgs. So with this being 60 caps this would last me 20 days. I did not have any sides and these were easy to take. I never feel anything with Berberine or ALA and just trust its doing it's job. And according to my lab test that would be Yes ! Good Luck and hope this was helpful !!!
