Great HDMI to component converter
Had previously tried a different brand with a much lower price with bad results. This item worked perfectly right out of the box. It was easy to set up, stays cool, video and sound are both great. A bit pricey but worth it. You get what you pay for.

Nice product. Worked well.
Worked perfectly. Good quality, well packaged. I only used the video. Took HDMI from DVD player and converted to component for input into my legacy AVR receiver for switched output to an older, none HDMI HD monitor

Okey dokey
Connectivity:Too many hdmi devices, not enough inputs on the ol TV. This makes my bluray player work on Component inputs. Works perfectly so far.

Good converter, works on Standard Definition CRTs
The build quality is solid, with the casing being made out of entirely aluminum. I purchased it so that I can adapt modern devices such as a computer or a Switch to my Toshiba CRT television (32AF45), and it worked great. It was pretty much plug-and-play into my CRT, and the most setup I had to do with the device was changing the resolution with the button on the front. In terms of a power supply, it comes with a 5 volt 1 amp power supply with a "barrel jack" plug, and the brick goes straight into an outlet. I could imagine that you could substitute that with a USB power cord instead, though. When I got it up and running, the video and sound quality was great. I had some issues with the resolution in Windows, as I could never get Windows to output real 640x480 video, it would always default to the 1920x1080 "active signal mode" and cause weird stretching on my 4:3 CRT. With that being said, if you give it 16:9 input, it scales well to the 4:3 aspect ratio, and it supports 480i (640x480 interlaced) output, so it will work with standard-definition CRTs that have component input. It was a bit pricey though. Honestly, I would say that this device's benefits certainly do outweigh its shortcomings.

Good picture
I purchased this to replace an older HDMI to Component converter. I am using it with a 4K Firestick on a Samsung 720P Plasma TV that the HDMI inputs failed on. I consider the picture quality to be near High Definition, not quite but close. It has good color and detail. But in scenes with lower lighting or a background that is very evenly lit and a very uniform color, such as a solid blue wall, sometimes there is a little blotchiness or pixelation to the picture. But most of the time the picture is good and there is nothing particularly objectionable. I see similar artifacts sometimes when streaming a movie through HDMI inputs on a different TV. It has a better picture than my older converter. All in all it is a very good picture for Component inputs. Good enough that I will probably continue using the TV until it fails rather than buy another one because the HDMI inputs don’t work. Again, to my eyes very close to High Definition, not 4K, but high definition. Better than a DVD but not quite as good as Blu Ray.

Picture and sound glitches way too much to be usable.
As an Electronics Engineer I checked everything from cables to broadband to ensure this device was defective. Hook up was simple and straight forward. It went several hours without issue....then the glitches started. It is connected to a Roku Ultra which is rock steady. Thus the assumption is a defective device. Since there is NO support, I have little choice but to leave this bad review in hopes others will not suffer the same fate.

4k to 480i no problem!
This is an amazing product that when paired with a firestick and KODI turns your CRT TV into a smart tv. The scaling options are great as well. I hope they introduce a model with free scaling.
