Hoosier Hill FarmAlfredo Sauce Mix, 12oz (Pack of 1)

I have spent years trying to find a beer cheese that is similar to the appetizers in some restaurants. I am so happy that I found this by Hoosier Farms. It is a powder, which I actually like since it is shelf stable with a long expiration, and you can use how ever little or much you want at a time. I buy the frozen pretzels, Hanover found at Walmart are the best in my opinion, I melt a little butter and drizzle it over the frozen pretzels, sprinkle with salt and bake in my toaster oven. While they are baking, boil a little water in my hot water kettle and add to this powdered mix. It mixes easily with a fork, making a smooth, thick dip for the pretzels. When the pretzels are done, I cut them into bite size pieces and it is the perfect snack. I can’t say enough about how good this Beer Cheese mix tastes and how easy it is to make.

Excellent product. Much more economical than jarred sauces. Great flavor, easy to use. The sauce is very creamy and meets my expectations.

Was expensive, but is nice to have around for last minute cravings. Tastes pretty good.

I have purchased several items from Hoosier Hill Farm and have never been disappointed.I wanted some alfredo sauce but didn't want to buy the bigger jars from the grocery store. I'm the only one eating this and the larger jars are just too much for one person. Yesterday, my package arrived, and I mixed up the 1-cup portion according to the package directions.At first it seemed a bit thin, but it did thicken up as it sat. I put it into a container and refrigerated it overnight. This morning it was nice and thick and perfect on pasta. I'm on a soft/pureed/liquid diet and am so pleased to have found something that is easy to use and tastes good.Per the recommendation of another reviewed, I made sure the water was boiling when I added it to the powder. I used 1/3 cup powder and 1 cup boiling water. I whisked it until it was well mixed.I also ordered the Hoosier Hill Farm powdered sour cream and the white cheese powder to add to the alfredo sauce to increase the calorie count a bit. I've lost a significant amount of weight due to cancer and am trying to find ways to get more calories in a small quantity of food. The alfredo sauce is perfectly fine without anything added to it, but I thought it would be worth a try to add a few things to it.I would definitely recommend this product, especially if you want something that is shelf-stable and easy to prepare. I'll probably store the powder in the freezer since I live in a humid climate and don't want this to get clumpy.

My husband ordered this and thought it was cheese, but it's a powder that you mix with water to get cheese, it was not good tasting to us.

Yes...you do see the word "mix" in the item description...but it's obvious that they hid the word "MIX" on the label.Maybe you have time to "make cheese," but I don't!
