Just to clarify, this is not, itself, a red dot sight; it doesn’t require batteries, does not produce it’s own red dot and, mounted alone on top of your rifle, will serve no purpose. What it is, is an additional aid to improve the range and versatility of your existing red dot sight.By al large, red dot sights are different to scopes in that they do not have any magnification in their display. They simply provide the regular sight picture with the addition of the holographic red dot to facilitate rapid, accurate target acquisition.This device is designed to be mounted on your rifle (it would be too bulky to add to a pistol) behind your red dot sight.The set comes with the necessary accessories to mount it on either Weaver or Picatinny rail systems and the mount holds the magnifier in either of two positions. You can have it so magnifier is mounted directly behind your red dot sight. This way when you look through the magnifier you get the benefit of the 3X magnification on your sight picture, enabling you to get a better bead on smaller targets or those further away. WIth a press of a button on the mount you can swing the magnifier through a 90 arc so it is to the side and not in your way if you want to sight through your red dot alone, as normal. But with a press of that button you can quickly swing the magnifier back into place when you need it again.I have a number of other Feyachi products and so it is no surprise to me that this magnifier is beautifully made with sharp, tight engineering and crystal clear lenses. It comes packed in a cardboard box with custom foam cutouts that keep it secure and safe for transportation and storage.I guess I’m a little surprised that it doesn’t come with a couple of rubber lens covers to keep those precision lenses protected when not in use but, otherwise, its a really nice piece of kit if your shooting requires the additional resolution to your red dot sights.

Had this sight for a month and has been used 4 times in that time, I loved playing with it every time I used it but in my last airsoft game we got caught in rain that lasted for an hour and it was mostly holstered in that time. I'm just preparing for my game tomorrow and have noticed it is full of water! I'm 6 days over the 1 month return on amazon so I'm £95 down and it's not lasted more than a month, avoid as discription is misleading.

Review from my husband:This is a really nice piece of kit. I got this for my airsoft pistol but unfortunately, it didn’t have a rail big enough to accommodate the red dot sight and the magnifier, so I had to go buy an assault rifle airsoft from 'Well' and it fits perfectly. It's an ak47 style so it has ample room for two sights on the rail, and this one can flick over to the side for normal red dot operation. It's perfectly suited for the assault rifle in your life (airsoft that is ) and to some extent, it even acts as a magnifying sight. It's very clear and easy to install, fix it tour rail in seconds. it has a really substantial quality feel about it. It's obviously made from quality material and it feels really heavy too. Obviously not much use for a sniper as they would have telescopic sights, but yeah the AR is the perfect home for this bad boy. Excellent value and it really does what it says, and more. It has adjustments for wind elevation and dot centring and 3 x zoom and focus so you can really get tight on that bullseye. It actually magnifies as a sight on its own by 3x so it's very good value. 5/5
