Took a little while to break in as initally they rubbed the sides of my ankles but after that they are very comfortable

Super comfort, Hard wearing . I wear them almost every day for months now, no odour must be well ventilated in the right way. Superior product.

For whatever reason this feels a size or half size smaller than you would expect. Other than that they are good quality walking shoe /trainer

Having looked at other reviews before buying, I have to say the shoes are exactly as described by many. I purchased size 9 1/2 for my husband. He noticed immediately that they were tight fitting on the toe, but not uncomfortable, it is because the material is hard not soft. If laced in properly the foot does not slip. We have been walking on sand, forest and tarmac and my husband says they are very comfortable, secure to wear. Should I have got a size 10? No they would have allowed too much movement when walking. For the price the shoes are excellent value.

They used to be really good and hard wearing but lately last 2 pairs have been very poor, customer service did not want to know!

I've bought these to go treking in the Amazon, after receiving, I'm not sure I want to ruin them.As others have said, they come up small, I'm normally an 8, these are a very snug fit, to the point I've seriously considered sending back for a larger size. but the difference was in mm, not a size or even a half size.I decided to risk it, and I've walked a few miles in them and there is a little stretch, they're now perfect.I really like the design, its much better in hand than in pictures and I'm really impressed with the materials and construction. They feel rugged and solid. And unlike most sneakers and walking shoes, they have excellent arch support.They are quite narrow and especially narrow around the toe, I have a narrow foot so its not too much of an issue for me, but those with wider feet might not get on with them.They are very comfortable on the whole, but could do with more support at the ankles, you can easily twist on rough terrain.All in all a very good product I would recommend.

Bought these merrell exactly one year ago and still look good after a lot of wear and been in the washing machine a few times. Worth the money. Trying my best to break them so I can get a new pair. **Edited 2 and half years after purchase** And i have finally managed to damage them on some rocks and the black rubber at the front has torn but I will be ordering another pair when I can afford them

I’ve had 3 pairs of these and the 3rd pair was better than the first 2 but they have all have issues with the material on the outside front edge. The first 2 pair was really weak material and split very easily. I liked the look and comfort and though in my head surely merrell will improve things. My 3rd pair the toe area material was much tougher so they are clearly aware of issues in this area of them, this 3rd pair didn’t split on the middle of rhe material but was moreubcomfy to start with. When it softened a little I though these will be great but alas they are also not fit for purpose where the material need your outside toes meets the sole, the material has come unstuck leaving a gaping hole and there’s still plenty of grip left. These need a complete redesign in that area. The soles don’t last that long either in any of them so I’m trying other brands now. I liked the look and comfort but at how quick they are worn they are worth no more than £40
