This item was purchased as my one was getting old . I went for this product as its made by the same company as my previous one. So sure I'll keep this one for many years to come. Well worth the price.

This product comprises a back plate, tap splitter and connectors. It does not include the hose which is necessary to connect it to the water supply tap, the mounting screws or rawlplugs.The back plate is mounted by means of two screws (not supplied). In my case, that meant drilling two holes into an external wall near the garden tap.The tap splitter assembly slides onto the back plate. The inlet may be adjusted to either the far left or the far right of the splitter by swapping the relevant connector and the grey end cap if required.The connectors are then screwed onto the desired tap points.Next, connectors are attached to each end of the hose (not supplied) which will connect the garden tap to the splitter inlet. If buying this item at the same time as a new hose reel, the best option is to measure out and cut off a length of hose corresponding to that needed to connect the garden tap to the splitter input before setting up the hose reel. Otherwise, a length can be cut off an existing hose and the relevant connectors attached, or a separate short hose may be purchased.Check that all four of the splitter taps are closed before opening the now connected garden tap.Hoses, watering timers and other Hozelock-compatible items may be attached and the four splitter taps turned on and off as and when required.The tap splitter may subsequently be removed for winter storage simply by disconnecting it from the garden tap and sliding the tap splitter assembly off of the back plate, a process which takes under a minute.

I bought this to replace a brass effect one that I had attached directly to the tap spout. Despite plumbing tape, that one was never water tight, always leaked and the levers to open or close the flow were really difficult to use as they were small and uncomfortable. It being low down at tap height didn't help.This hozelock one has solved all that and is cheaper too. I've installed it at waist height so it's easy to access and I was surprised to find it's totally water tight out of the box. I bought new plumbing tape but haven't needed it! The knobs to open and close flow are a bit stiff, but they are much more comfortable and easier to use.It came with several connectors already, so I just ran a short piece of hose from the tap to the unit and connected everything up.Very pleased. Ideal solution for me so far.

Easy to install and I have had no leaks. I added a hosepipe from the outside tap in the back garden to this and installed this multi tap connection onto a wall in my front garden and adding some irrigation water pipes so now I am finding watering my front garden so much more easier.

I've used a 4-way watering connector to run a hose to the front/back/feed an irrigation system. When the last Hozelock failed after a decade of use, I tried another make instead, it didn't last a year, so I'm back. I'll let you know how many years this one lasts!
