Works really fast
These flea tablets work within half an hour after being ingested! My white cat was laying next to me and I suddenly see loads of fleas coming to the surface of her coat, it was honestly pretty awful to see at first but the fleas where just slowly crawling and dying and falling off, they couldn't jump thank God!I have worked in a veterinary practice and they are very against this brand and the bob Martin products but there is always a risk in any product used and every animal is different..I have never had any problems with these tablets (I did experience owners calling regarding the veterinary approved spot on causing issues) and other big brands. So it didn't put me off trying. These tablets only kill the adult fleas which is the start of treatment! One tablet will not kill the flea cycle. I would give one tablet a week for 3 weeks personally, so when eggs hatch the tablets will kill those, and so on and so fourth until the cycle is complete. It can take ages however these work so well my cats are so relieved after the adults have died. They are the ones who lay eggs and bite the most. Would recommend especially as I personally find spot ons do not work and cause skin damage, hair loss and if applied incorrect and your cat licks the areas where it drips down can be dangerous. So these are great. My older cat is difficult with tablets but they are so small I can chop them in half with a knife and stick them inside soft treats like the sticks (cut into squares) hidden inside and she has no idea. My other cat will take it in cat yoghurt easy as again the tablet is small and crunched up he doesn't taste it. He is obsessed with vay yoghurt though!! Great value for money and ease of use.

Effective in the short term, but you need to follow through after using it for permanent results
These tablets are the business for killing off pretty much every flea on your cat. The effect on the cat is somewhat upsetting, to say the least - both from the desperate, dying fleas, but also the actual effect on the cats (panting, desperate to get outside, sleeping for hours afterwards..), but nothing I have tried has had no effect on the cats, and at least this does not last long and supposedly leaves no lasting effects. (One herbal thing I tried had the cats stoned off their faces for days and had no effect on the fleas at all..) The issue is, with respect to the fleas, this stuff only lasts a short while and any fleas in the environment will leap back on within a day or so. So if you do not also treat the house, their bedding, etc. etc. and also plan a follow-up treatment that lasts longer, you will be back to square 1 within 3-4 days at most. I found this out the hard way. So yeah, good first line of attack, but then in a day or so, follow up with something longer-lasting - these folks make a spot on solution and I am about to use that today. AND you MUST hoover and/or clean everything that can possibly harbour living fleas OR their eggs, then spray with something that won't harm you or the cats, but the fleas hate. Or they will come back. For that I am using a flea and tick spray with tea tree and peppermint oil in it, as it smells ok and doesn't harm anyone other than the fleas - who hate it. Peppermint oil is also good for discouraging rodents and wasps, incidentally. I have used it successfully for both.. Good luck!

Effective
Very effective. The fleas drop dead fast after using the defleaing tablets, though you do have to consider other remedies aswell as this.

Work fast but there were only 4 tablets in the 6 pack! The other 2 slots were empty!

Best first line defence
After a couple hours intense itching, cats calmed down and were more settled than had been all week. Fipronil clearly didn't work, suspected just went on fur mainly. These tablets are exactly same dose as in the Capstar ones, plus. you get 6 doses. All fleas dead as far as aware, cats visibly relieved too after intense couple hours. No more fleas or dirt after on flea comb. Ordered a different spot on which can be used in conjunction with Fipronil (imacloprid) to stop new infestations (& get extra pair of hands to get it on the skin properly this time). These tablets are a fast way to kill all fleas on there. Have read research papers have had 100% success with this method, whereas spot ons are much lower, but good for prevention over 4 wks. Mine only had a few but you have to act fast and treat the house with indorex too. Best fiver I've spent but may need to use again after 24 hours and definitely in combination with spot ons /flea combs/house sprays. Just make sure cats are kept to one area while they all die and jump off
