Best headset for this price range.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Great headset at a good price. Would highly recommend. My only points of comparison with other headsets are with Astro A10s and Turtle Beach Recon 50xs. This headset is far better than both of those in terms of sound quality and mic sensitivity to picking up my voice when talking quietly late at night. I do dislike the inability to physically disconnect the mic piece and audio cord from the headset itself, especially the audio cord because sometimes the cord gets caught on something and I move, and instead of safely unplugging from the headset and me just being able to plug it back in I can see it potentially causing irreversible damage to the cord by yanking on the connection with the headset. Durability:Solid construction, feels durable and unlikely to break with regular use aside from potentially the non-detachable audio cord being yanked on if you are not careful.

Grandson loves the headset. But no sound. Reset controller for the win.
About this for my grandson who has a ps5. He called me having trouble getting the sound to come through. We watch some YouTube videos on how to make adjustments couldn’t get anything to change and he was talking about. He thought it was his controller going out. Well controller was fine before we hooked in the headset. I I thought either we needed to reset the game system to factory default, which would’ve lost him all his saved games or we need to reset his controller so I found a small video on how to flip it over and reset the controller and it fixed everything. Something in the controller wasn’t allowing the sound to move from the controller up to the headset. So for those that are not getting all of their sound in this, I hope this helps you. I got one happy grandson now it is working perfect.

Obsessed Already !! These Headphones Are Next Level!
I’ve only had these beauties since May 31st, and I’m already in LOVE. The sound quality? Chef’s kiss. The 7.1 surround sound makes everything feel so immersive, I swear I heard an enemy sneaking up behind me before my character did. Gaming, music, calls...everything sounds incredible. The Quartz Pink color is absolutely gorgeous. Finally, a headset that doesn’t look like it was designed in a bunker. And the comfort? These memory foam cushions are so soft, I could probably fall asleep in them (and maybe did, no shame).Mic clarity is crisp, and the 3.5mm jack means I can swap between my PC, PS5, and Switch without any drama. Razer really nailed it with this one.If you're on the fence just get them. Seriously. They’re amazing, even after just a few days of use. I'm pretty sure these are my forever headphones.

Solid quality for price.
As a PC gamer, I know how important it is to have the right gear for an immersive gaming experience that doesn't cost a fortune. I recently tested the Razer BlackShark V2 X Gaming Headset, and I can't wait to share my insights. Priced at just $50 (on sale frequently), this headset offers remarkable quality for its cost, making it a fantastic choice for budget-conscious gamers. Although the microphone quality could be improved, it’s not a dealbreaker, especially if you would consider investing in a standalone microphone. In this review, I will detail the headset's features, discuss its advantages and disadvantages, and provide my overall impressions. Let’s jump in!Design and ComfortWhen it comes to comfort during those marathon gaming sessions, this headset truly excels. It features soft, breathable memory foam ear cushions that conform to your ears, and the well-padded headband ensures a snug yet comfortable fit. I wore this headset for over four hours during a gaming session, and I didn't experience any discomfort. My previous headset (The Razer Kraken) lasted me well over 3 years before I needed a replacement, and that was a headset I used daily. It goes to show the durability of Razer's products for the most part.Sound QualityNow let’s talk about sound quality. The BlackShark V2 X uses 50mm drivers that provide clear audio across a broad frequency range. Whether I was engaged in a pulse-pounding battle or exploring the serene landscapes of an RPG, the audio was immersive. The punchy bass really stood out; it enhanced the depth of explosions and pivotal moments in gameplay.During my sessions, the directionality of sound was impressive. In competitive gaming, being aware of where opponents are is very helpful. The BlackShark V2 X allowed me to easily identify enemy locations and hear important in-game cues, leading to improved performance in several matches.Microphone QualityWhile the sound quality of the headset impresses, the microphone quality could definitely be better. The cardioid microphone is adequate for in-game communication but lacks the clarity many gamers desire. It definitely will get the job done though I wouldn't expect any high quality audio from it.For those serious about gaming communication, I recommend investing in a standalone microphone. External microphones can significantly enhance the clarity of your voice, especially for streaming or content creation. While the mic on the BlackShark V2 X is a bit underwhelming, it won't be a dealbreaker and will function as needed. I would say that any standalone microphone even a lower end one (Such as the FIFINE Gaming USB Microphone https://amzn.to/4hU3xMH ) will be many times better than most headset microphones.ConnectivityThe headset connects via a 3.5mm jack, making it straightforward to use with various devices like PCs, consoles, and mobile devices. Razer typically includes a splitter cable for separate audio and mic input, which adds versatility for different setups. If your product does not include a splitter, these can be had for well under $5. Of course this will not be necessary if you are investing in an external microphone. You won't have to deal with complex setups or additional software—just plug it in and go. This ease of use is appealing for gamers who want to jump right into action without any hassle. The Razer software is not required, and in my experience their software has not been the greatest anyways.Great Value for MoneyThe most appealing aspect of the Razer BlackShark V2 X is its price. At $50, it provides an excellent blend of quality, comfort, and performance. While there are a wide range of headsets at lower price points, it's hard to beat the quality and durability of Razer for the price. For budget gamers, this headset is a fantastic deal. It performs well across various categories, providing an excellent investment for anyone looking to elevate their gaming without overspending.Final ThoughtsIn summary, the Razer BlackShark V2 X Gaming Headset stands out in the entry-level gaming headset market. Its attractive design, comfort, and decent sound quality make it an excellent choice for gamers who value quality and affordability. While the microphone may need improvement, it’s not a significant flaw, especially with the option for standalone mics.If you are a PC gamer on a budget, consider giving the BlackShark V2 X a try. At $50, it offers a great gaming experience without draining your wallet. Remember, a good gaming headset can significantly enhance how you enjoy your favorite games. Happy gaming!

Pretty in pink :)
This is my second set of this headset and I love it just like I did the first time, but even more now that I was able to get it in pink!!! I appreciate how much padding is on these headsets which makes it comfortable to wear for hours of gaming. Do I want to admit that? No really. However, it’s the truth lol. I will say the cord to me feels a little unnecessarily long, but again just my opinion. Anyways love this headset and love the pink they decided to release. 10/10

Great sound!
I was using a headset from years ago on my Xbox that was meant for PC. I wanted to upgrade and ordered this headset. The sound is so good! I hear things I didn’t on my old headset. The only downside for me I I don’t use a mic when I game and I have to bend the mic up out of the way. The mic doesn’t stay tucked away as well as some other headsets I’ve seen. But the sound is amazing with this headset that is only a minor flaw to me. Love this headset!

My son says he can hear Ingame footsteps
My son loves these. He plays a lot of online shooter games. He says with these he can hear another player try to sneak up behind him. When I asked him on a scale of 1:10, he said a nine. These function perfectly and the 3.5 jack is ideal and can be replaced. As far as durability only time will tell.
