Power brick died and I tried a bunch of different bricks. Turns out you need a 24VAC to 24VAC which is less common than 24VDC. Using a 24VDC caused my valves to not fully close after the timer was finished, causing leaks until I unplugged the power. This transformer works correctly with my Rachio 3

The Model No. 242901-00 adapter for my Black and Decker CMM1000, 24V rechargeable lawnmower died. The original adapter was rated In: 120V, Out: 26VAC, 1A (1000mA).I cut off the plug for this Jameco adapter and spliced in the end from my old adapter and it appears to work with no issues - the mower's green charged LED came on. I'll see how it does when I next use the mower and it needs a full charge.I was concerned that the Jameco adapter's rated output of 24VAC was less than the original adapter but I measured the output voltage of the Jameco with no load and it was around 27VAC. It probably drops under load to the rated voltage. I will update this review once I have tried to charge after using the mower.

The picture is of a much smaller transformer or power supply. The metric dimensions are correct.

I gave my older model Rachio lawn sprinkler to my son. This best fits a straight barrel power plug, but I had lost this from the old unit. There are negative reviiews of this item, but who writes a positive review for standard items such as a hammer? I plugged this in without load for 48 hours. It became warm as expected. This class 2 transformer is rated to tolerate a complete short indefinitely without failing or causing a fire. This is because of a designed high leakage inductance which limits current input under any condition. This is the reason for the warmth. All the home thermostats are connected to furnaces and air conditioners with 24 VAC from a class 2 transformer. They are considered safe and used in hundreds of million homes.

Bought this for my sprinkler controller, as it has the same specs as the original transformer. I plugged it into the wall and tested with my multimeter just to make sure it worked. Output started at 24 VAC and steadily dropped to 0 VAC within a minute. It was very hot to the touch, after letting it cool down, I checked the primary side just to find that it had indeed shorted out. It was cheap, so I’m not that worried about it, but I figured I’d pass along my experience.

The media could not be loaded. It even had the right connector, I found this by our unit disposal unit missing the power supply, this worked perfect.
