Right side won't pair

Right side won't pair out of the box. Can't find any support manuals or anything on their website. Left sounds awesome, they'd be great if it weren't for this bug. This seems to be really common looking at reviews online, disappointing there is no solution or apparent addressing of this

Good, not great

Exactly as advertised, but only the left one has sound when listening to music.

Too Complicated to Pair & Use

I read the cryptic directions for these earbuds, charged them in the tiny case with even tinier lights that flashed occasionally. For 3 hrs. Still could not pair. Went online to AltecLansing.com and read further "suggestions" (apparently I'm not the only one). Tried to "forget" the earbuds on my phone. Then re-enable. Still no bluetooth connection. I found myself cursing most of the time. And now realize it's more than 30 days and I cannot return.

Great audio value, but finicky Bluetooth holds them back... (compare to LifeDot2 and Gumy)

Preamble:I'm no audiophile, but I am experienced with "budget" headphones that still sound pretty great - e.g. Koss KTXPRO1 and PortaPros, JVC Flats, etc. I also own Anker's SoundBuds Slim and Anker's Soundcore Life Dot2, which I both like very much. So, keep in mind that all my comments are in relation to budget headphones, not high-end audiophile stuff.Review:These Evo+ seem to offer pretty great audio for this price point, so I would recommend them if audio quality is your primary concern. But I have some real reservations about certain aspects of these, especially when compared to the Life Dot2s and the newer JVC Gumy True Wireless. Here's what I'm liking so far:- Secure Fit: These stay in securely, though it takes some tweaking. I had to switch out all 4 earpiece options and replace with others, of which many are supplied, which is nice. Now that I have it dialed in, I don't see them going anywhere.- Sound quality: Surprisingly nice. Podcasts, in particular, are handled very well by these. Music-wise, they were also surprising, especially on the bass end of things. Bass is usually lacking in the budget-friendly wireless headphones I've tried, but it's certainly acceptable here. The highs sound pretty nice too... slightly "grainy," if that makes any sense, but again acceptable. Overall, a very pleasing listening experience (at least for podcasts and hip-hop/rap, which is all I listen to.) I definitely prefer the sound of these over the Life Dot2 and Gumy.NOTE that if you don't have the fit of the earpieces just right, it WILL affect sound quality. If they are too loose in your ears or too "smashed in there," they won't sound as nice.- Wireless charging pad: This is pretty cool. Instead of plugging and unplugging the little charging/carrying case, you can just set it on the wireless charger and grab it when you're heading out. True, this is a VERY small convenience, but a convenience nonetheless!Middling stuff:– Calling: I had my wife try calling me using these and she sounded clear, if not a little distant/weak, but again that seems like it would be somewhat unavoidable with the mic located at your ear. Call quality seems similar to the Life Dot2 and Gumy.Stuff I'm not as thrilled about:- Comfort: They chose an interesting boxy parallelogram/diamond shape for these which is not that comfy in my ears, even after short periods of time. I much prefer the teardrop shape of the Life Dot2s or the Airpod-ish shape of the Gumy. I've tried a number of different configurations of the included earpieces (which are many), and still haven't found a comfortable setup. That said, this is pretty subjective and they may fit you well, so I'm not going to deduct any stars for this... though I do suspect these might give a lot of people issues...- Connectivity: Most of the time, these connect quickly/easily to my phone, just by taking them out of the case. However, sometimes I have to fiddle with individual earpiece on/off buttons to get them to connect, which can be annoying. The worst thing about these earphones, though, is the Bluetooth range. It's by far the worst I've ever experienced with any device. Sound will sometimes cut out if I have my phone in my back pocket and my arm swings between the phone and earphones! It's weird... maybe I got a faulty pair? I'll still mention it in case it's not an isolated incident...- Overall quality: I may not have noticed this otherwise, but because I have the Life Dot2 and Gumy to compare to... it's noticeable that the Evo+s are not as nice of a package in overall quality. Everything about the Life Dot2 and Gumy just feels tight, well put together, well thought out, and solid. Everything about the Evo+s is just a little cheaper, more plasticy, more light/hollow. They just don't leave as good of an impression. If they hold up well, this will simply be a matter of aesthetics... only time will tell.– Aesthetics: Speaking of aesthetics, these protrude from the ears more than the sleeker models... it kind of looks like subtle Frankenstein bolts coming out of your ears!Overall, for the price, these offer really surprising audio, and I like them for this reason. Unfortunately, they have a few annoyances that keep me from recommending them - namely the finicky Bluetooth connectivity and comfort. However, if audio quality is your absolute, only priority - or if you'll always have the phone located near the earphones - you might want to give them a shot!
