I bought this coffee bean dubious of the quality as is is so cheap. Now I’m no connoisseur of coffee, but like coffee black and strong. This coffee is good enough for me it has a really strong dark chocolate taste and is a very good price!

This is my cheap everyday coffee. I have a good grinder so I grind my coffee daily. This is by far the best quality / price coffee you can get. It's great and I always have some packs in my storage, but there is coffee I prefer out there. Won't beat this price though :) Have a shot, it might be your favourite blend. Advertised to be a 50 robutsta / 50 arabica and I believe that's right. My preference gravitates around a 70 arabica / 30 robusta, which is probably the reason it's not my favourite blend, but I will keep buying this as long as the price stays the same. It's £1.50 for a pack of 250 grams which is half the price or less than lavazza qualita' rossa, which is more robusta than this one.

Have purchased Der-Franz coffee beans a number of times over the years and currently the best bean for the buck you can buy.I have tried both the "crema" version and the "Melange", with this being my current one of choice. It is a mellow bean - great for everyday caffeine hits. It is gentle on the palate with non of the harshness. Great if you like your coffee black.The "crema" version can sometimes be a little "earthy", which is not to everyone's taste.If you like your coffee with the strong taste of Robusta then this is not for you.All in all, a great, well priced (especially if you purchase in the 4kg packs) - and a long "best before date" - well over a year!Update for end of 2024 - still the same high quality bean... Still highly recommended.

Excellent coffee, smooth and easy to drink as a latte, flat white or espresso.The pricing is inconsistent - I paid £25 for 4kg (£6.25/kg) which is half the price of most other brands and it is exceptional at this price. However the price fluctuates between £25(ish) and nearly £60 - which doesn’t make it as a good value IMOI have it on subscription so if the renewal price is £60 I will be cancelling - edit the price has risen to £27 including S&S discount. This makes it about 7 quid a kilo, which I don't think is too bad, when you consider that the Lavazza and Sbarro coffees are between £14 and £16 per kilo.
