My daughter LOVES this!
So fun! My daughter LOVES it! She waves her wand, "Expecto patronum!" And her patronus lights up with cool lights and sounds!

Novelty item for big Potter fan!
I bought this for myself (not a kid). I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, that being said... I love this item! It has a few different sound light combinations (brighter/flickering) and one that makes it light up for about 20 minutes. I bought Harry's stag as well and love it just as much! Both are fantastic and to note, will only work with their own wand. Hermione's won't turn on Harry's and vice versa (fun fact lol). Also, the lighting looks SO much better in person than in pictures!I'd say kids might get bored with this depending on how old they are and how much they love Harry Potter. As an adult I love them so much and recommend them!

4 year old grandson loved it!
Grandson has been in to making magic wands w sticks while camping. Thought I take a chance to buy him something different than usual & get this wand. At first I had a hard time to make it work so wasn't sure if he'd like it. It was a hit! He loved it. Happy w purchase!

Not that magnetic
Bought one each for a 9 and a 12 year old. The slime/putty is just like regular. The magnet only worked if they used small pieces. They played with it for awhile but quickly lost interest.

Very Cool Toy
My child likes Harry Potter and her favorite character is Hermoine, this wand was a gift and she loved it.

Slightly misleading.
So the putty is magnetic, and so is the tip of the wand. The only way to get the putty to stick to the wand (per instructions) is to roll it in a thin snake and then the tip will connect to the wand. If it's too big, it's too heavy and the wand won't lift the snakes head, if it's too thin, there isn't enough metal in the end to make it stick to the wand. Kind of frustrating for kiddo. Mine still plays with the putty, and pretends to do stuff with the cheap plastic wand, but I'd save your money if you're wanting it to do what the pictures here imply.

Big hit
This was such a big hit as a birthday gift. The kids could not wait to test it out. It appears to work easily and it isn’t too loud either. Just a gentle sound for casting the spell and the otter lights up and glows.
