VTech DM1211-2 DM1211 Digital Audio Baby Monitor with Enhanced Range (2 Parent Units) Silver

My sister and I live with my elderly father who is a fall risk, unfortunately it’s a 2 story house so it’s been hard to hear him call for help at night when we aren’t in the same room or floor.This has been awesome ! We have it plugged into his bedroom and my sister and I each have a walkie. On his unit he doesn’t have to press any buttons to call for help and we hear him on ours(which you do have to press to talk). When he needs help during the night it is so much easier to come help him and know when he needs help.

In my opinion, VTECH is an excellent Brand. First experience with VTECH was years ago seeing a cordless phone used excessively and dropped repeatedly in a fast food setting. it never broke or failed to perform. So I personally bought a VTECH phone and had the same lasting success. Now fast forward to baby monitor and yep, VTECH is still an excellent Brand. Was gifted a VTECH Baby monitor couple years ago and now needed to expand so got this double parent unit and it is exactly as advertised. It's updated from the older model and quality is great. The sound and range distance is enhanced. The battery just keeps on and on and on it goes for hours on end without recharging. Its' very simple to use, easy to operate and all you do is plug and play. I love the way the clip is located on the top back half of parent unit fits in pocket can carry it clipped securely. It's sort of oval shaped and can also sit flat on surfaces. So yeah, in my opinion and experience, VTECH is an excellent Brand. Definitely recommend this double parent unit Baby monitor. Very good quality and price.

No mention of what type of battery was needed or that the needed battery was included as I started reading directions, so that really threw me for a loop and sucked. Then I found that batteries were included but not easily seen. Set up was fairly easy from there. The baby monitor is at the far-end of our property in a detached garage, perhaps 350 feet away and it works fine with the parent monitors in the house. It's being used to alert us to noisy thieves in our detached garage after a recent break-in.

Great monitor with Great features. We use it to monitor are 90 year old mother. We are able to communicate with her through the monitor.

Bought because we look after our elderly neighbor. There's one vacant lot and a street between our homes. This product reaches to her back bedroom. We can hear her even if she's unable to push her help button. I need to get another baby unit for her living area. We have an older unit at work that doesn't reach nearly as far.

We use this for in house coms.

VTech does not mention that if you order this system with 2 parent units that the parent units not only monitor the baby unit but the parent units also monitor every sound from each other. If one parent has a parent monitor in one room and is talking on the phone the parent in another room with a parent unit can hear every word said and every sound from the other parent unit and visa versa in addition to monitoring the baby. This feature cannot be shut off.The system works fine with one parent unit only.
