After reading the reviews I wasn't expecting a stellar amplifier board, especially with the possibility of a fake chip. However, my use case doesn't make a lot of demands: I'm amplifying the output of an MP3 board and sending it to a 4 Ohm 100W outdoor speaker, and using a 12V supply. In theory I could only be getting around 30W RMS of output power give or take, but that's more than I need. This is for a halloween prop and I need it to be loud but to not wake the neighbors. I cranked it up far beyond what my ears found comfortable and I didn't hear it distort, so that means I'm happy.So my 5 start review is specific to my use case. If you need high output with superior sound quality, I can't comment on that. But I'm definitely going to spook some people this Halloween.

amazing little amp , currently building a small guitar practice amp and wanted at least 5 watts......at 16 volts dc un-regulated it gave a clean 1000hz sinewave at 6.9 watts.....the only con .... creates a pop ( spike ) in speaker when first turned on

One of the two works really well. The second item works well until I push tens of watts through it then it shuts off until I bring the power back down. I don't feel heat on the sink so I am wondering if there is an overvoltage setting on it. The other channel gets the same power and is not affected. I would give five stars if supplier contacts me and swaps the one board with a fully functional one. The price for two is really good. Youtube testers got 98W out of this. I did not confirm if that was peak or RMS power. I agree with the other positive reviewers on this product. I also agree with the unfortunate incident of the person who got the probability of two not working. You are betting on the distribution of getting one that works (or both). I think you will have a good chance. I am driving 6 ohm, 50 Watt RMS, Dayton speakers with these amplifiers. One amplifier per speaker, so in mono configuration. The amplifiers are driving those speakers just fine. My source of sound is a record player from amazon. I don't readily have the make and model, but it has a preamplifier inside and I am tapping off the RCA Left channel and right channel for each audio amplifier we are discussing. I am runnint 24VDC into these amplifiers.

It's kinda an iffy product. Buy at your own risk, but be aware of its pros and cons. The first thing I would state is you get two of these, so it's a bargain bin item at the price. If you can get it to work for your application it may be a good buy. If you mess one up.. you got a second to work with. Quality.. it's iffy as well. You get a well-made board that is laid out pretty straightforwardly. NOW, does it work? It's yes and no for me. I was able to get it working in my project with a 24v power supply at 3amps. The power is clean, the output is very good at its power level. However, input was a pain in the behind because you only have blocks marked positive and negative, and well when I tested a left & right audio cable I kept getting mixed results with my input where sometimes the left or sometimes the right would cut out. Also, I had to keep maxing out the small gain pot to get good volume.. and sometimes it crackled when adjusting.

Make sure your power supply is up to the task in both voltage and current. I'm using a switching supply @ 24VDC, 4A. I'm pushing 35W, so this is enough power supply for my application. Do the research, the math, and size the power supply to fit your application.I am using this board in a home brew tube guitar amp. All of the tone comes from the pre-amp, so I just need something that will drive the current through the speaker. It's set to deliver 35W into 4 ohms. (35W is louder than you think)I bought this board's smaller cousin (60W) which had a little chip but no heat sync. That one worked well until I started to really dig in. Then, it cooked. THIS board however isn't even breaking a sweat. Maybe it's the chip, maybe it's the heat sync, maybe some combination of both. Either way, I hit the amp hard at full volume for a couple of hours, and this board didn't even break a sweat.Sound quality - for my application, it sounds good. It's transparent and the tone from the tube pre-amp goes right through the board to the speakers.

I used two of these to repair an old soundboard console that still had a functioning 24volt supply but toasted logic. Once done these two amps really made good loud music. By connecting the third, center speaker, between the Left and Right modules I got good center sound also. I bought 4 of these in case... everything works well.

The board was covered in flux, I got 43.5 watts and 45 watts @4ohms, the volume pott on one board had some issues, and I had to switch to a beefier power supply but the amps delivered as promised.

These amplifier boards are a very pleasant surprise. They work as designed and sound great. Technology is fantastic in these boards. Like ALL other amplifier boards, they do not do a full 100 watts without clipping, but it does not make that much different to reach the almost a clean 90 watts into a 4 ohm load.
