The colors on this map are bold and bright and the animals placed near their home countries are realistic and provide even more learning outside the geography of the world. The pieces are sturdy and the printed portion does not seem like it will peel off with normal classroom or home use. As stated by other reviewers, many interior pieces have curves rather than the traditional interlocking style but my preschool grandson was not frustrated and quickly learned the more pieces he placed correctly, the tighter everything fit. The map is not to scale, but if South America and Africa had been placed as far apart as they really are, this puzzle would have been far too big and with lots of empty ocean between them. For the target age group, the distance accuracy is probably not necessary.

The puzzle is okay - not that many pieces so really easy for younger kiddos. Ours was missing the full picture map though which made it tricky to put together

I got this and another like it for my Grandson's 5th birthday. He really loves it. He had two others but with all puzzles, once they get the hang of it attention goes to other things. So far, it's been keeping his attention. They are a large size and manageable for small hands.
