Q: Is it easy to clean? Does it need a filter?

I'm pretty sure everyone who is saying it's easy to clean are overlooking the top which is very hard to clean. The tube doesn't go straight down so scale collects in the top of the tank and there is no way to get it completely clean.

Q: Is it really quiet? i'm looking for a quiet humidifier to use at my desktop, but must to be quiet and without much vibration.

There is no vibration. It won't make your desk shake. However, it is not quiet enough in my opinion. It has a very noticeable mechanical noise, and a high pitched tone that is very noticeable in a quiet room. It is rated at 36 dB, which is between a whisper and a quiet library. However, there are other mini humidifiers on the market rated at 30 dB or even 20 dB. I bought this one specifically to sleep next to because reviews said it was quiet, but the one I got definitely is not quiet at all.
