Fun rainy day craft!
I was excited to order this for my 6yr old daughter, as she loves DIY crafts she can do with me. When she first opened the box and saw the 2 "mystery" toppers, she was said "I'm soo lucky, I got the ones I wanted". But, I think she would have said that with any of them. LOLI assisted her with setting up the factory and doing the first soap, but after that, she took over. It does take just the right amount of water to turn out the best, and the coloring adds more liquid to it, so take that into account. She absolutely loved it, and has been bugging me to do more!!She also couldn't wait to take a bath that day, so score one for me on that!

Fun craft with my granddaughter!!
Got these for my granddaughter who turned 5. She had so much fun making these. She needed a little help but was very proud of her creation. I loved spending the time with her.

Smells horrible but itās easy and cute
Smells disgusting!!! My daughter is 5 almost 6 and she had fun although she did need my help. Everything is cute and kind of easy to make but the smell of the powder is horrible!

I enjoy the soap kits by this company
This was a fun kit to use. I had previously used a couple other soap kits by this company, and knew what to expect from this set. The soaps are cute and fun to make. The elements used in the factory are the same as what is in the other soap diy sets by this company, so you can easily use the other sets as a refill kit if you enjoy this and want to keep using the factory as a work station instead of using little pastry bags to apply the frosting. The frosting is thick and kinda like slightly watered down play dough. It does not really make a mess. If any falls on your work surface, you can pick it up easily. The figures are cute and float in the tub.The soaps smell quite nice. The sprinkles didn't want to stay on my cupcakes, so I just left them alone. I will probably use them for some other crafty thing in the future. The frosting actually acts a lot like a pumice stone because it dries quite hard and is a bit gritty. The soaps left my skin feeling a little softer, and did not cause any reactions. I have fairly sensitive skin and I was worried.

Makes Soap, but Also Makes a Mess!
My daughter and her friends like to explore various craft kits. We thought a soap-making kit would be a nice idea, so we decided to give this a try.Details below...PACKAGINGThis kit comes with individual parts and materials in individual plastic bags. The kit itself is a lot of plastic parts. The plastic bags are fairly minimal. However, given the issues with this project (see details below), I'd say that the amount of plastic overall ends up feeling pretty wasteful.MATERIALSThe kit comes with several elements for making soap that get mixed with water to form a shapeable consistency. My daughter and her friend worked on this independently, and even though they were trying very hard to follow the instructions, it ended up being a mess. The ingredients don't quite mix correctly. Also, the materials have a very offensive smell. I've worked with soap material in the past, and it does smell. But this seemed even worse than normal.INSTRUCTIONSThe instructions are rather minimal. Starting with the construction of the "factory" itself, you kind of have to guess at how things go together. This is a problem. Since the materials are rather messy, without clear instructions kids are going to have chaos along the way!PROJECT SUCCESSMy daughter and her friend did end up creating some "dessert" soaps, like mini cupcakes. The colors did look nice. After the materials dried they actually looked all right. But the process is really messy and difficult to clean up.CONCLUSIONThe idea behind this is good, and it does lead to fairly cute creations. But the instructions -- and perhaps the choice of materials -- is almost sure to make a mess.
