Very Good Product For Modern TV And PS2
If you want to play PS2 games and enjoy good image quality, I would recommend this product. The device came well-packaged and is simple to use with a plug-and-play method. The connectivity is firm, well-built, and easy to handle. The instructions provided in the box are straightforward, easy to read, and in colour (also printed on high-quality paper). The device allowed me to see text and colours clearly, with no dark patches as I’ve seen on other devices I’ve used. This device is worth getting, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to play PS2 games on their modern TV with just HDMI.

Don't be worried about it not working, because it will work, no problem!
I've only used it a couple of time on a PS1 which was my young daughters in the 90's. I inherited it from her when she got the newer models. I've a 48" TV too. Hooking the device to the console and the TV was simple enough; then came the initialisation of the console. It started straight away with no problem. What surprised me, was how clear and sharp the images were. There is not 'lag' when using the controllers at all. All the colours are exact like they were on the old TV sets which surprised me!So for the price, it was a bargain! Connections are straight forward, so no faffing about. It's just plug in and go, like the old times!

The best option
I've tried a few ways to make my PS2 compatible with modern TVs (I use a 4K).The cable has an even better fit at the back of the console than the original cable, which I always felt was abit flimsy and too loose a fitting. You can choose to display the picture in 4:3 or 16:9. I personally always choose the latter as I hate a picture that isn't full screen, and I don't feel it reduces picture quality.A big reason I prefer this cable is it can also support PS1 games on a PS2 console, which is very hard to find. So I can play all my PS1 and PS2 games on the same console which is awesome and less hassle. On previous cables i've tried it didn't fill the screen completely by an inch or two which did my head in. This completely Fills the screen. So this is compatible with PS1 and PS2 games, really good and firm connection in the back and really good picture quality on my 4K. It makes the console seem more up to date now and enjoy those games. What more could I ask for? Get this cable and no other, i've tried!

Excellent cable, a tad on the expensive side at full price.
Have tried a number of these cables and had very mixed results. I bought this specifically for the PS1 as there are many cheaper alternatives which work just as well for the PS2 but for PS1, every option I have tried has lasted very little time before developing an issue or just stopping working altogether. The LevelHike cable worked first time with no issues, gives as crisp a picture as you can expect from a non-HDMI modded console and has no large dongle hanging immediately out the back which makes it much easier to hide the cables. All in all, I am very pleased with the cable. If the cost was closer to £30 than £50 I would recommend without a doubt. I managed to pick up whilst on offer at £35 and very happy with the purchase. Worth it if you don't mind the additional cost.

Recommended for PS1
The media could not be loaded. It works on PS1 but the plug can not be pushed in fully this results in spun but no picture just black screen. Must be fitting issue. Otherwise works perfectly well.

Terrible Video With Green/Yellow Tint and Sound Only Works Half the Time
This converter has never worked correctly for me. The picture quality is terrible at times, it often has a green or yellow tint to it and the sound doesn't fully come through either. You have to spend ages wiggling the cable and removing/inserting it again, hoping you get lucky and finally get it to work as it should. Even if you get lucky enough to make the picture and sound clear, simply nudging the wire or box can lose it again immediately. It wasn't too bad at first so I simply tried to tolerate it, but it has gotten worse as time went on. It's only been used a total of maybe a dozen times over the course of a year or so and it's rapidly deteriorated with each use.I don't know if I just got unlucky and got a faulty product, but I do see other low star reviwers had the same problems as me, so perhaps not. When the item first arrived, it did appear to have already been opened as the seal was broken. I may have gotten an already returned product.I've never been able to get in touch with the seller, so I'm finally leaving my negative review here. I imported this item from the US, so return shipping there from where I live would be extremely expensive regardless and cost more than the item is even worth. Especially if I'm likely going to get another broken product as replacement. If the seller reaches out to me themselves to help me replace this item (hopefully without charging extortionate amounts for a return) I would consider changing my rating. But as it stands right now, I cannot recommend this item at all. Very disappointing.

PAL users beware!
While this device works well, be aware that it appears to have been designed for an NTSC output from the Playstation 2, the NTSC 480i/p output looks fine and fits perfectally on the display. The PAL 576i output of the Playstation 2 doesn't fit on the output, as mentioned by several reviews, the image will seem to large to fit on the display and cut off both bottom and top.Tested with PAL Rogue Galaxy that allows for PAL/NTSC when starting game, in PAL mode the picture is too large to fit on the display and the lower part of the screen will be cut off, in NTSC mode the picture fits on the display perfectally.

Must have for Retro gaming
The media could not be loaded. At last , able to take the PS1 out of storage and enjoy some retro titles. Great piece of kit , easy to set up and excellent value for money . Highly recommended. No more being held to ransom for purchasing some dodgy old CRT TV !!( P.s Video footage recorded from smartphone, PS1 connected to small 19 inch LCD Tv in 4:3 format using the device . Small TVs were the norm for PS1 back in the day , no 60 inch LED / LCD back then !! ) .
