Vortex
Scope is great but it doesn't do what I need it to do

Basic but functional
This 1-4x24 optic is clear, simple, and effective. The red dot illumination is not very bright. It does not compete with a dedicated red dot for brightness, but it’s not meant to. The reticle is simple and familiar. The optic has great eye relief and target acquisition is fast and straight forward. Note if you plan to mount a high red dot or holographic on top of your scope mount, using something like a Burris P.E.P.R the illumination turret is very tall and sits high on top of the scope, making it nearly impossible to acquire a top mount red dot sight picture. To run a secondary red dot, you’ll need a 45 degree offset mount. Aside from this, the optic is great. Not amazing in low light conditions, but still functional. The illuminated red dot washes out in sunny conditions, but the reticle can be run without illumination, and presents like a standard crosshair. Very close to a true 1x, a great for CQB. Turret adjustment has a positive click feel, but not a positive click sound. No biggie though. Holds zero well, and if you have a hunting background, you’ll feel very comfortable with this reticle. No frills, no complicated reticle, no unnecessary magnification. Only wish it had a lower illumination turret, was a little lighter, and a quick throw lever. But for a sub-$200 optic, I have zero complaints.

Another flawless execution by Vortex
Giving this five stars because I think the quality of the scope far exceeds the price. At this price you can’t beat the quality and clarity. Even at full zoom it’s crisp and focused all the way to the edges of the glass. My only gripe is that the illumination control knob is in the way of your vision if you need to take a quick glance over the scope but I knew that would be the case when I bought it, no big deal. I highly recommend this if you’re putting together a budget rifle that you want dependable optics on.

Worth the money and more!
Clear, reasonable price, works great, lifetime guarantee, what more could you want. Wish they made the same scope in 1x8. Holds zero good.

Capable LPVO.
This model of LPVO was the 1st product I'd purchased by Vortex & I gotta say that I dig it.For the price & the features, it's a dead win; to the point of me buying another for a different build, & have since purchased other Vortex products based on my experience with the Crossfire 2.The glass is surprisingly clear, the reticle is simple, the "fire-dot" illuminates perfectly, lines up with the actual dot perfectly & doesn't "splash" into the the cross hairs; even on the full brightness setting (I will say that due to certain constraints, I haven't tested this optic in as low-light conditions as I'd like). The tube is 30mm giving a good sight picture, & if set up correctly, the eye relief is great & forgiving. The turret caps do their job & have decent knurling on em for good grip in "slippery" conditions, the turrets themselves are large & labeled clearly; they do have tactile/audible feedback (though I wish it delivered just a little more on both fronts). The illumination knob is stout, has tactile feedback & doesn't feel too tight or too loose, & lastly, the zoom collar & diopter bezel are pretty snug but not terrible (in colder weather I've noticed my fingers slipping off the zoom collar, but with some gloves on, or I even put a ranger band around it, it gave the necessary grip to mitigate that). The finish is on par & doesn't mar easily which brings me to the "abuse" portion. Between the 2 Crossfires I own, I've put easily over 1k rounds through em & have even "dropped" em without losing 0 (of course the mounting system plays a huge part in that), but as I said, all in all a great budget option that I can say I'd trust my life with. The only con I've had so far is that the 2nd Crossfire I bought had a tiny black line off towards the edge of the glass when looking through it, not sure if that's a scratch or debris, but it's definitely inside of the optic & doesn't move, even with recoil or jostling it around. I can't even notice it now, but I was annoyed when I 1st got it; I'm sure Vortex would address this with their awesome warranty but I was impatient & it obviously didn't bother me that much.

Very nice scope
Tried adding a picture but community guidelines says I can’t. This scope looks great feels great. The quality is there. Visibility is 100% better than other scopes I’ve tried. I will say the price is right where it should be. You get more than what you pay for. Compared to the other scopes I’ve tried the focus is way better and they were the same millimeter and zoom. Love the bdc.
