The media could not be loaded.  Bought this product at risk because of no reviews. But after several hours of research, i couldn't seem to find any other USB-C hub adapter that is cheaper in price than this one that includes the HDMI port. Also, I was looking for something that was small (didn't want a brick on the side of my laptop) and something that attaches directly to the two USB-C ports on the MacBook (didn't want an adapter dangling on a wire). This one fits the script. Just tested and all ports work fantastically. Just a few things--1. Overall, you can tell the device is cheaply made. I don't mean this in a negative way. But it is very light, not as sturdy as it appears, and bends at the slightest touch. (See video)2. When you plug in the standard USB-C charger that comes with the 2018 MacBook Pro, the charger does not fully enter the port. It slides in halfway and feels like it might not be in, though the charging indicator light is on, and the laptop appears to be charging. Also, it doesn't have that magnetic effect when you plug in the charger like the original ports on the MacBook. Minor issue but nothing that really bothers me. (see pictures/video)3. Not sure if the video/photos do it justice but the color of the actual adapter is not flush with the color of the space gray MacBook. It is a slightly different shade of gray. But let's be honest, this thing could be hot pink and it wouldn't bother me. Just figured i'd point it out for those who that's a big deal for.12 month warranty on it so that's a plus.Overall, I'm happy with this product. I would've given this adapter a 5 star rating, but the 1st point I mentioned above is the reason for the 4 stars, just feels kinda light and not made out of heavy metals. I really like the aluminum casing of this hub. It doesn't feel like those cheap plastic ones. The color is very similar to the space grey Macbook Pro. The biggest thing I like about it is the fact that this hub can fit with a laptop case!The cons is that it doesnt have much ports... Maybe an extra USB-C port or a TB3 port would have been perfect for this. I noticed that the USB-C port is capable of driving a monitor BUT it is only capable of up to 4k 30hz... I was hoping my USB-C -> Display Port wouldve been a perfect match for this but it isnt unfortunately.UPDATE 1/19/19Using a Display Port -> USB-C on the hub I was able to drive a 4k display at 60hz ON TOP of having a 2nd monitor using the HDMI. I had two monitors (4k and 1080p both running at 60hz on the hub). Unfortunately the hub doesnt function AT ALL when plugged into the right side for some reason. The DP -> to USB-C port is also very finicky and it does not seem to want to start from time to time. I had trouble getting my 4k monitor to display my screen. Eventually it worked again though. I would like it to be alot more reliable.

Took a chance with this design because of it’s size and the ability to fit, even with a case on my laptop. Works fine with a Macbook Pro as the lower case does not cover the back corners. (first two pics)But, with the new MB Air, it does not fit due to the lower case for the MB Air having parts that cover the corner, thus not allowing the adapter to sit fully into the USB C ports. I like the product because of having the three things that I need. I originally wanted one with more ports but decided that this actually was the best fit for me. The color is no close to spray gray. I modify my laptop case so I can have the hub on at the same time. The way I did this was use a knife to slice each end that I needed removed and sand what was left. Came out nice and smooth but of course not like the rest of the case.The hdmi works well, I can charge my laptop with the USB c, and the usb port is a little crooked on the inside but still works. I actually like it be6it keeps the USB snug.

This is a must for a new MacBook. Compared to products I saw at stores, this is a great value. It immediately gives you a USB port which is lacking on new MacBooks. It’s lightweight and works as advertised.

This has the advantage of being very compact and it's cheap, but you get what you pay for. After a couple of weeks the power port (which never really fit a USB-C snugly) got very positional and finally stopped working. Make a better choice.

I purchased this in April 2019 and now the USB slot doesn't work! I purchased this solely because I needed the USB C portion, but now it's pointless
