Teknetics TEK-Point Waterproof Metal Detector Pinpointer Probe, Green, High Precision for Target Location, Durable, Vibration & Audio Alerts, Ideal for Coin and Relic Hunting

My last pinpointer died on me a few weeks ago, so I did a lot of research online and decided on this Teknetics Tek-Point Pinpointer. I made my decision based on a lot of 5-star positive reviews from other users and was open to the idea of trying out this fairly new "pulse-induction" technology it employs. I also like the solid construction and the comfortable feel in my hand. It even comes with a well-made belt holster. Plus, no more 9-volt batteries! It takes 2 AA's and that works for me, since I have a plenty of rechargeables I can use. It performs extremely well in the field and can identify targets with ease. I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to any detectorist, beginner or well-seasoned pro.

The media could not be loaded. This pinpoint rocks. Little complicated on the settings, but you learn fast. The highest setting is to high when pinpointing in hole, but works well above ground to pinpoint and exact spot to dig. This thing can pinpoint deep. I do not get the false reading like others said, I have had the light not come on certain times tho, I can live with it, kind of annoying when it happens though. Ive had this pointer for about a month, will be updating in future.

Had the old model AT pro pointer and worked good until one day it started falsing, speaker failed, then dead. Did my research and this seemed to be the best. Out of the box...amazing. it is very sensitive and you can adjust it to not get falsing from your detector. Love it and it beat all of my expectations, not to mention AA batteries.Update 25 May 2018:So went out last night (24th) and pin pointer started flashing really bad then gave me a constant beep so OK change the batteries. Changed the batteries with Duracell (name brand high quality batteries) batteries, went to turn it on nothing....ok...tried another set...nothing...old ones...nothing. Finally after a couple hrs it turned on for a second but just the light and I couldn't get it to turn on...F-ing broken!!!Update: fixed it. Small spring that hold the batteries in tight gets pushed to far into the butt cap, I guess just a design flaw. If this this starts to false or not work correctly pull the spring out and put some tin foil behind it...works better than new.

I chose the Tek Point over the Fisher F Pulse simply because I wanted to try a Teknetics product. I went the other way with a detector and bought the Fisher F75 over the Teknetics T2.. But seeing the top Youtubers mostly using the T2 and bragging about it I went with Teknetics this time over Fisher.. The pinpointer is working flawlessly and has more to offer than the Garrett Carot with its Pulse Induction technology... I’m very happy!!!

I have had this pin-pointer now about 5 months. Hasn't failed me once, the battery life is amazing, I detect A LOT, and I just changed batteries about 2 weeks ago. It has plenty of features and there is a small learning curve to enable those, I would recommend reading the manual and running through them before you get in the field, always easier to learn those things before you've been digging holes all day and are filthy, lol. Thing is built like a tank I would STRONGLY recommend this to anyone to buy.

Pinpointer worked very well initially. Than started to vibrate louder and louder until it stopped and you can now here something loose rattling around inside it. Pinpointer will only turn on now if you hold it vertically. Turning it on any other way will set off error beeps. Light also no longer works. This happened within 3 months of purchase. Will try to get it serviced under warranty.

I’ve been metal detecting for about 15 yrs or more. I have the Garrett pin pointer which is great. This one is just as good, very sturdy, durable. Would certainly recommend instead of wasting money on the cheap knock offs.

First off the pointer is really a 360 degree metal detector it doesn’t work like a true pin pointer ,if you’re close to the find it goes off , so for instance if you dig a hole and the find is on the side wall of the hole it will buzz at the bottom of the hole ! You really have no idea of the precise location of the find , save your money and get a mine lab or a garret they pin point dead on the find and not to mention this takes a while to learn the functions the only pro of this would be that it takes AA batteries , AVOID AVOID
