Q: Is it normal for the reverse action to not have enough torque to undo the 60 lb tightened nut? reverse seems to only work when nut is not too tight.

Well speaking on behalf of the one I purchased the reverse setting should be set up to were whatever amount of force you apply to go counter clockwise should be enough to undo whatever clamps/screw/bolt you are trying to loosen. I also keep a 5/16 nut driver on me for most of my work whenever I undo cast iron cupplings/ bans. Hope this helps.

The ratchet “pops” at 60 inch pounds which is adequate & safe for most great/hose clamps. I’ve not stripped one or experienced a leak. Just works as expected.

Q: Why are these so expensive? Not all t-shape wrenches have the 60 lb feature built in?
