Velvet Opium by PUREAMOR is a gorgeous interpretation inspired by YSL’s Black Opium and honestly, it blew me away. From the moment I sprayed it, I was met with a vibrant, juicy burst of pear, pink pepper and orange blossom that felt fresh and feminine. But what truly surprised me was how deep and sensual it became on my skin. The heart and base notes are where this fragrance really shines.The bitter almond and licorice give the coffee and jasmine a dark, velvety edge that feels rich and addictive. And the dry down? Absolutely stunning. The vanilla, patchouli, cedar and cashmere wood create a warm, opulent finish that lingers for hours. This actually lasted roughly 12 hours on my skin, which never happens for me with most perfumes.I felt undeniably sensual wearing this. It’s confident, feminine and bold, without being overpowering. For the price and size, this perfume is an incredible value and it doesn’t feel “cheap” at all. The travel-friendly bottle is sleek and practical, and I love that it sprays rather than rolls on.I’ve tried other dupes before, but this one really stood out to me. If you love musky, slightly sweet and sexy perfumes with great staying power, Velvet Opium is definitely worth trying. It made me feel magnetic.

I am not a fan of certain scents like vanilla, rose and coconut if they overpower all the other fragrance notes but velvet opium smelled amazing! I do smell the vanilla but the other notes really transform it into this very warm, sexy scent. It lasts for hours too! I cannot attest to wether or not the pheromones work but I get so many compliments from men and women so that works too. I keep a screenshot of the perfume because I get asked what it is all the time. I will definitely be buying more!

This fragrance starts off beautifully—strong, fresh, and really lovely. It makes a great first impression! However, it fades fairly quickly. That wouldn’t be a huge deal, except the dry-down changes in a strange way. After a little while, it takes on a weird petroleum-like scent, kind of mixed with the original perfume. It’s not awful, just unexpected and not something I personally enjoy.If you’re into unusual base notes or don’t mind reapplying, this might still work for you!

I decided to buy this item being attracted by the promising vanilla+amber composition as well as by an elegant black vial.What I received was fully matching my expectations, I was wondering however what will be the scent a bit later after applying it: and yes - it is really a great, long-lasting experience.Regarding the question if the pheromones work or not, maybe it is a coincidence, but when I wear Pureamor, I can see (in the public transport, at work, in supermarkets etc.) from the corner of my eye that women (young, of middle-age, older) are staring at me, tending to get closer, often taking a hidden pictures or movies of me (this mainly refers to the underground line and to some extent to buses; less probable in supermarkets but also noticed). And the truth is that I cannot still believe it happens to me...(I am a male, if this may be of importance)

Though the scent is pleasant once it "warms up" and "blends" in with your skin, at first it has a "plasticy" scent to it. Then, later it changes to a warm vanilla-y, earthy, very slight floral scent. Not a bad thing, but takes a while. It does not overpower like some perfumes do, but lasts quite a while - it is quite effective when it comes to wearability. I could still smell it on my skin the next morning after putting it on the night before! It's also nice that the travel size comes in a spray bottle vs. a roll on, making it easier to apply.

I wasn't sure if I was going to love this perfume but I do!!! The smell is soft and long lasting I have been wearing it for about a week now. I only spray one time on my wrist and rub it on my neck and that little bit goes a long way. Great find for the sensitive skin girlies . The little bottle makes it easy to travel with and is very cute!!!

I'm a recipient of the Pure Amor - Velvet Opium and I wanted to leave my review.It is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I'm a huge fan of the scent, Black Opium by YSL. The Velvet Opium not only smells JUST LIKE Black Opium, it also lasts LONGER!!! I'm absolutely in love and will be buying more soon!! Thank you!!
