Aspen Pet80869 Self-Warming Dog Bed, 30" x 24", Color May Vary

The bad news: my cat doesn’t like this bed. He laid in it once and never again. The good news: my 60 lb pit bull loves it and sleeps in it every night LOL

We bought this bed, and our cat showed nointerest in it. We sprayed it with Cat Nip, and nothing - not interested. Then, I picked the cat up while he slept, and placed him in the bed. He slept in it for three hours, and he loved it! This is perfect for him! Though he is a slender and long cat, he curls up and still fits in it. I will buy another. :)

I ordered two of these cat beds plus a third (which is different and hasn't yet arrived). The beds were delivered in an enormous box which, of course, was the main attraction for the better part of the day. My cats love Amazon almost as much as I do, but for different reasons. While they were playing hide and seek in the box (and another that brought something else that same day), I took the new beds and put them on a couple of different chairs -- favorite spots of the cats. Eventually (probably a few hours) I noticed one cat in one bed and another in the other bed. The third cat seemed to be happy in another favorite spot.I've been wanting to get three cat smallish cat beds because I'm getting ready to downsize, sell my house, and move into a motorhome with my dog and three cats and go where the spirit moves me. I figured it was a good idea to get them used to some resting spots before we hit the road since none of them are happy travelers (the 8-minute trip to the vet is torture). In the motorhome they won't be confined to closed carriers and I'm optimistic that they will make the adjustment, in great part due to these beds.A few minutes ago I found two of the cats (the one on the left is 15+ pounds, and the other probably 12-13) cuddled comfortably together in one bed. I decided it was time for a picture and a review. We are all happy.

All five of the fur-monsters love these beds. Sprinkled a bit of catnip in each bed to encourage exploration.... it worked.

I had to order a second bed, because my two cats are fighting over the first one I bought. But honestly, it's been kinda funny watching the battles. Trust me, your cat(s) will love this bed.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  My girl loves this bed. She spends most of her time in it kneading and purring. I don't know about what others have posted about the warming material, but it is still an excellent soft bed that my girl prefers.

I Purchased 5 of these and was very happy, they keep our pets very warm, however I purchased two more for Christmas gifts and when they arrived I noticed that they did not have the "Reflective Space Blanket Fabric" built into the layers as the previous 5 did. I contacted the manufacturer and they basically told me that was too bad and they were not interested in doing anything about it. I have a real problem with manufacturers cheat on their product, with a label clearly attached that states that this material is part of the bed, but it actually was not.Beware of companies that manufacture in China - you don't always get what you pay for!!! Shame on AspenPet!

I purchased this self-warming bed for a cat house we purchased for a stray cat that has adopted my family. The cat is full grown, but she is only about 8-9lbs, and is long and slender. I wanted to get her a warm bed for her new house. I already purchased an Aspen Animal Print dog bed for my Chihuahua, who wanted to curl up in my blanket on my bed and slobber and leave hair all over. I put his new Aspen bed next to me with his blanket and he has not tried to cuddle up with me in bed once. He loves his bed! So I was hoping Aspen would have something for our feline friend.The bed is even bigger than I thought it would be, which is great. It is nice and smooshy so my son was able to get it in the small cat house door. The fabric is so soft and fluffy. The sides aren't firm like my dog's bed, but I was hoping for that, and a lot of the pictures from reviewers indicated that. My son was able to mush the bed into the far corner. The cat can curl up, stretch out, use the side for a pillow... The bottom is nice a full, very plush. The sides are like a bolster. They are not too firm, but they are full, cushiony, and extremely soft. She will be able to get comfy in this bed for sure. I think 2 cats,her size, could get comfy in this bed. Or 2 6-8lb Chihuahua's.I might purchase one or two extra self-warming beds to put away. I might even get one for my Chihuahua for downstairs. My only request would be for more color options. But I am sure the cat won't complain.

My cat Skank is old and has a bad leg. She looked so uncomfortable lying on the floor trying to sleep now that she can't get onto the sofa any more. I bought her this bed to help her aching joints as it's supposed to keep the heat in. It arrived yesterday and she's been in it ever since. I haven't seen her this chilled out in months. Kitty heaven!

One of my cats is very much an outdoor cat & rarely comes into the house to sleep. We’ve already got 2 cat kennels with cat beds in outside but we wanted something that would keep her warm now winter was approaching. This bed was slightly smaller than I’d imagined but fits the cat kennel really well & I can hardly get my cat out of it! It looks good quality & very comfy. Whenever she comes into the house she’s always toasty warm. It has a slight crinkle/rustle to it but not really noticeable & it certainly hasn’t bothered her. It’s given us peace of mind that she’s warm (she will come in when it gets really cold) now the nights are getting colder. Would definitely buy again either as a replacement or for the other cat kennel.

Cat loves this bed. Wish they did a larger one as cat does squeeze into it.Cat didn't like at first as the bottom pad makes a crinkly noise when treaded on, but it was a cold day and she just got in it. She loves it now and her bones (she is 17) are better because she is keeping them warm. We have heating but its not on 24/7 in the Winter and not a very cold house so this bed is ideal. Not sure cream was a good colour for inside though as black fur discolours it within hours as it sticks to it.

A slow starter, as with other reviewers, but my two cats are NEVER out of it in this cold, wet weather. I am trying to decide whether they need one each or a larger one, as occasional squabbles break out as they both climb in, but they are siblings so only to be expected.

I was a bit dubious about buying a cat bed as my cat has tried them in the past and then reverted to sleeping on the furniture again. However, now he is older he gets really cold so I thought I'd try again. At first he wouldn't stay in it so I warmed it slightly with a hair-dryer to trick him into it and it worked. After a couple of times of me warming it he realised how cosy it was and now he won't get out of it! He now even gets in it cold as I think he realises it gets warm quickly. It is just the right size for him and stops all the draughts around his back whilst allowing him to pop his head up to see what is happening. (I have it on a table near the window so he can see out). He seems a much happier cat all round which is good.
