I use Calgon in every wash, just like the advert says. My 3 year old washing machine is as good as new. We have very hard water here too !

I am happy that the lady gave me space and was patient with me, it also makes your washing machine smell nice. I also use a dettol liquid in the machine when I do a wash with nothing in the machine every six to eight weeks.

I bought the tablets to protect and make my carefully-maintained Miele washing machine more efficient but have ended up causing a blockage and flood which needed a repair by an engineer. Miele technician does not recommend putting tablets into detergent drawer as per instructions on Calgon box and suggested cleaning with proprietary wm cleaner on an empty load as a better way of maintaining the machine’s efficiency. You learn by your mistakes!
