Worked perfectly for my installation. Using magnets for a cabinet I built to hold all my hand planes. At first, I worried if the magnets would be strong enough to hold each hand plane. After installation I realized how strong each magnet was and feel confident my tools will not fall. Please keep in mind my largest hand plane is about 5.5lbs in weight and one magnet has no problems securing it to the cabinet.

These are good strong magnets. They are difficult to separate if you remove the protective disk between them. They work great and are a good size. Excellent value.

If you want a strong magnet to possibly be used as a permanent fixture, this is it. That would be good for holding tools in a garage or used and I work shop for heavy duty things. I haven't been able to get many of them apart from one another. I have never bought anything besides an n52 but I have never bought one that was a full half inch. It's far too much. I just had to finally resort to a steak knife on a countertop to push through in between two of them to part them. I had purchased them to use on metal garden beds to hold down shade cloth and insect netting. It would be absolutely perfect if I didn't have to move them and put them back nearly daily. I've been using Clips but I thought this would be a genius idea. It will be when I get these same magnets in half inch by 3/8 maybe. They come with small plastic separators in between each and I suggest only taking off what you want to use at the time, like one off of the end and not separating them all out immediately. The reason I gave up four instead of a five-star is because one of them already had a decent size chip in the casing all down one side. If you need a strong magnet that doesn't need to be moved often, here it is.

Very strong neodymium magnets. Useful size and shape. These would be too dangerous to let children play with or make crafts with, these are serious magnets. Comes with a plastic carrying case.
