I almost didn’t get this because I was afraid this was going to be a heavy jasmine or gardenia vanilla as a lot of “upscale” vanillas are too floral. This is still a nice, sweet and warm vanilla without smelling cheap. It has the notes of sandalwood and subtle subtle floral but doesn’t overpower, it just complements. Just makes it very classy and would definitely complement nice perfumes. Went on clear and smooth. I just shaved my armpits dry without water and put this on. No stinging at all. I never apply downward, only up to go with the flow of hair growth so I don’t put it directly into my pores so much. I was using Native coconut/vanilla but wanted to try this as I got bumps from that one. I’ll update how effective it is and if bumps emerge .

Love the smell of this natural deodorant. I wouldn’t say its strongest feature is keeping sweat at bay on a hot day - more so helping mask it. But I’ve decided to keep it in my purse so I can reapply if necessary. This works for me because the smell of my deodorant really matters to me as well as being non-toxic, and vanilla is my personal scent. A unique feature about it that I particularly appreciate for travel or bringing it along is the screw on lid - don’t have to worry about it popping off in my bag. Smell is great, no irritation, very smooth, just be aware you may need to reapply in the day, especially in the summer.

I was so pleased with this purchase. I love Father Figure perfume and wondered if this would actually have enough of that fragrance and I’m happy to say it did! Not too strong or weak and the deodorant actually keeps me dry and controls odor perfectly for me. The only complaint I have is that the product does tend to “unroll” and go back into the plastic case and can be a little scratchy so I have to roll it back out. I’ll just plan to roll it out more than I do my other deodorants but it’s not a real issue for me at all. It does stay up, just not as much as I wish it did. Yes, it’s worth the money and it smells great, does what a deodorant is supposed to do. Great way to layer on the scent!

Packaging:Is there supposed to be any sort of sanitary seal on these deodorants? First time order showed up loose in an Amazon bag mailer, without tape or shrink wrap. There is a rounded plastic lid within the main lid, but it wasn’t sealed either.Used Product:Unfortunately, my fears were confirmed when I opened the bottle and found a hair and specks of dirt/lint on the deodorant itself. See photos. It’s not insanely dirty, but I also wouldn’t want to use the product after someone else did. Nor should I have to.Vanilla Skin Scent:In the bottle, Vanilla Skin smells nice and complex. Not like a fake vanilla or desert. The jasmine note (which I’m generally not a fan of) doesn’t stand out to me. It’s not too feminine. I think it would complement a variety perfumes/colognes with sandalwood esk notes. Scents often give me a headache, but I doubt this one would bother me. It’s not a super strong scent, but it’s not weak either. I can’t speak to how it smells on, but I’m hopeful it would wear well and last— of course these things will vary person to person based on PH etc.Closing thoughts:- I hate reading reviews from people who haven’t tried the actual product, but wanted to warn others of a possible sanitary issue!- I hope this bottle was a return fluke and that new products are sealed properly before leaving the factory.- I plan to ask for refund for this product and go to a store irl to repurchase it.- There’s a lot to look forward to in trying this deodorant. After years of using Native deodorant (and starting to smell skunky, a common report on Reddit) I’m specifically looking for a BHA deodorant to neutralize the source of the oder. I like the scent and hope it will wear well on me.- Unless this product is normally sealed, I suggest you pick up the product irl, so you can inspect it before buying.

Natural ingredients:I chose to try this scent of this brand because i was really wanting to smell it mixed with the heavy cream spray, and i can say I really LOVE it. It’s so smooth not too strong of a scent and you can smell it through out the day. I have sensitive skin and this has not bothered me one bit.

I love this deodorant! The smell is prominent and lasts through the day. I used to get irritated from other (popular) deodorants which prompted me to try this one. I have the spray that I layer with it. Only negative is that I do have to layer a deodorant spray or certain dri at night to help with sweat. Oh also, it ain't cheap.
