Q: The white ceramic coating is running into the drain lines and plugging them up. Has anyone experienced this, and have a cure?

My drain line runs down to a pump on the floor. I was told to put some bleach into the pump which seemed to clean things out. I also replaced the tubing that runs from the bottom of the water panel to the pump a year ago and it still remains clear. Also be sure to put the water panel in right side up so that the paint dot is at the top of the panel.

Q: Is there a specific way to install them?

We install a new filter every fall. Having the main housing and associated supply and drain hose installed permanently, the filter install is a cake walk. Hope this helps.

Q: Does anyone experience the coating draining off and plugging up the drain lines?

We have not. The only issue is not related to the filter but to our water softener causing a sediment build up in the drain hose of the filter
