I have other Accusize products and this is the first one with an issue. The stem sticks past 1” bur can be pulled out easily. Called Accusize and within 30 seconds Allen said it was defective and a new one will be shipped to me. Easy button

Did the trick
I was looking for a caliper to set up my table saw, blade and fence. This dial attached to my mitre gauge and worked great. I plan to use it with my metal lathe as well.

It's as accurate as everything in the shop I could compare it with, including my DRO, so I am satisfied.

You get what you pay for.
1st thing I did was put on a CNC to test repeatability (yes, and brand new Micro Dynamics). Less than stellar. If you're checking zero to zero (setting zero reference point then returning) it'll do you fine. However .010 graduations on my Z were not exactly .010. On .010 movements, 1st would be .0095 second maybe .008 then the 3rd or 4th would catch up. Basically, through out the 2" of travel, pretty much all over the place. Backlash was the same. Sometimes as much as .008 on one of my readings. I guess I was expecting to much out of the cost. If you don't need absolute accuracy, it's perfect for ya'. Worth the $48 (or whatever), nah. Hold out and wait till you can afford a decent Fowler or equivalent.

Highly recommend, checked by my employers quality control. it was deemed accurate as well as high enough quality to use as a machinist.

Reads in halves
It actually does read in 0.0005 so keep that in mind. Repeatable, doesnt bind or stick, very easy to read. Travels from -0.004 to 1.0715

Perfect for using on a lathe
Bought this to keep track of my saddle movement on my lathe as the dial is in .01" and I needed .001" which this does. It sticks to the ways of my lathe great, even on a limited area. Magnet is strong, but you can still blow the chips off the magnet with an air hose. I will never run my lathe without one of these now.

Quadant a bit hard to spin but ok
Verry precise, brook my old one on my lathe, tok many drops on concreet. Works az expected, no ishue so far.
