These escape tools are easy to use and also have a seatbelt cutter. So for emergency exit from a vehicle they would definitely come in handy. They appear to be well made and are small enough you can store then pretty much anywhere in your vehicle. I put mine in the center console so it is accessible to driver or passenger.

So this didn’t come with instructions but is easy to use. One side you take off the top and it has a seatbelt cutter. The other side is the window breaker. It’s pretty neat that they give you a piece of glass to test each one. All you do is hold down the glass breaker side and it breaks the glass. Just make sure to do that somewhere you can pick up all the glas pieces, I was rather surprised at how far they spread when I broke the glass. It’s pretty powerful. The little holder they send with each of the tools could be a little bit stickier to attach to the surface in my car but they aren’t a deal breaker.

This products works very well, but the instructions are incomplete and misleading. They say to place your "head" on the window--a silly typo for HAND--but tell you nothing else. The process is easy and simple, but users MUST test it with the test glass (or some other piece of glass--I recommend eye protection) first to get the hang of it; otherwise they'd probably drown while trying to figure it out in a panic situation. HERE'S THE PROCESS: (1) remove end cap. (2) Press the flat black end very firmly on glass for a second. This releases a spring which drives a metal pin into the glass, breaking it. DO NOT hammer at the glass; just push the black tip flat against the glass, pressing hard until it triggers. It doesn't kick or make a loud noise. Easy-peasy once you've done it once.

When I opened this up I didn't really understand but it comes with two pieces of tempered glass so the user can try it and not have to panic or figure it out when in an emergency situation. I just pressed the device to the tempered glass and it shattered it instantly. I will buy these for all of our vehicles.

this thing is small but mighty! i used the tester glass to try it out and it is so easy to use. minimal effort breaks through thick glass! the seatbelt cutter is a plus. you never know! get this for your vehicle. could be for you or to save someone else.

Every driver needs to keep one of these within easy reach--the driver's door seems the most logical place--in case they find themselves in a sinking car with water pressing in on the windows. You can see one in use in a video, and a sample of auto safety glass is provided so you can see how they work. (If you're going to smash the glass sample, do it with the glass inside a sufficiently large box so that you don't have to clean up the resulting glass fragments that will fly all over the place.) It's nice to have them come in two-packs, since you'll want to give one to every family member who drives.

If you’re counting on using the holder it won’t work. It slides right out. Holders are important. If you’re in an emergency, you need to be able to get to it right away.. so without a holder where is it? In your glove compartment? Center console? For emergencies it needs to be easily accessible, I wouldn’t bother with this brand.

I gave one to my girlfriend and kept the other one in my car.Most likely we will never have to use it but it is better to have and not need rather than need and not have.

Works, convenient and simple to use

Very effective product and works without significant pressure meaning anyone can use it. Test glass samples are a great idea so you know how it works in the event you ever need to use it. One end cap is a little loose but nothing to be overly concerned about.

This tool is as safe as the description said it was. It comes with a piece of tempered glass for you to try breaking and won't be startled if an emergency arises where you do have to break the window. It also comes with a little manual which has pictures and text. Easy to read and understand. One of the best things I have bought in quite a while. Highly recommend.
