Does not work for cakes
This was my first time trying one of these silicone pans. I filled it just over half full with batter, and the long sides of the number immediately bowed out. I had wondered how in the world this pan was going to maintain its shape, and there was my answer before it even went into the oven. It cannot maintain its shape! In the oven, the sides had even less support and the batter spilled out onto the cookie sheet on which the cake pan was sitting. I baked that one along with another cake in a traditional metal pan. The metal pan produced a wonderful cake. This silicone pan did not even bake the cake mix. It was still about 80% liquid when the cake in the metal pan was done. I bought 4 of these, returned them all, very disappointed. I have been decorating cakes for nearly 30 years. I’m sticking with metal Wilton pans.

Easy to use
These pans were perfect for making a 40 cake. I had never used silicone number pans before, but they were easy to figure out. They mostly hold the shape well during baking, but I did over fill mine and have a little blushing. It was easy to fix by trimming up the cake before icing it.
