Yes, there's a layer that goes on where you need to stick (peel and stick) and a layer above above after it's applied to what you're sticking it to.

Q: Will this peel off in a car wash?

I did not use it for outside yet but based on the thick sticker I believe it will not hold the glue strong enough for the car wash. It's my best guess. I kept it at the bottom of the front door and corners comes off every single day and I have to put pressure on every single day
