EXACTLY what I needed
I have like 5 alarms (in addition to this watch), and was still somehow sleeping through them (?)It is soooo much harder to sleep through this âshock watchâ (the sound could be louder, but not really why I bought It).If youâve ever used a TENS unit, the âshocksâ are very similar to that (minus the stickers and wires). I included a photo of the inside of the watch that shocks / vibrates. If you have issues getting up to standard alarms, I highly Recommend.Itâs a bit of an investment (but cheaper than losing your job from oversleeping).I also LOVE the app. (I havenât had to pay for it or subscribe - if you want the community aspect and challenges there may be a fee, but Iâm able to access the alarms and wake up features I need). Last 2 photos are one of my alarms. You can set it to make you scan a QR code (youâll have to print it out and put it somewhere), do jumping jacks, or do a puzzle on the app. Iâve only used the puzzle, but it has a few different types of puzzles it randomizes (they help wake your brain up a little bit).Next 2 options are preventing you from snoozing, or you have it zap you again when you snooze.Light sleep tries to wake you up during a lighter sleep cycle.Escalating alarm helps with battery life and incremental gets louder or increases the zap âĄď¸until you wake up.Smart alarm makes sure you didnât fall back asleep by checking to see if youâre moving; if you donât move within 5 minutes the alarm goes off again. All are optional (& free / with the cost of the watch). You can also set the amounts of the volume, zap level, and vibration levels from 0-100%. I usually use between 70-80% (with the escalating alarm). The shock watch also has an option for bad habits (like skin picking/smoking). You can set it to shock, beep, or vibrate if you raise your hand up (near your head). Thatâs also optional, it works okay (not really what I bought It for) but Iâd like to see an option to maybe âtrainâ it to alert you in a certain position or a certain amount of time maybe.Overall, I love It; I am Still employed. I love the purple color, and the shock part definitely works. I did want to point out that my wrists are TINY (~6 inches); the smallest notch is slightly tight, but I usually use the 2nd smallest, so may not work as well if you have child-sized wrists like me lol but all in all 10/5 âď¸

Works very well, and the app is amazing. Donât know why people are rating this product badly.
Donât know why this product has so many bad reviews, so far this thing has been very very helpful. Iâm a deep sleeper, donât wake up to alarms, but this thing has me waking up before it even zaps me now lol. (It works very well) I wake up instantly after being zapped. App is amazing donât know why people say itâs not? Watch has cool settings like escalating alarm where it starts low zap and builds up stronger and stronger, smart alarm where if you stop moving youâll get zapped again, puzzles/qr code to stop the watch, etc. so far 10/10 no issues.

Watch is great, app needs work.
The watch works very well and gets me up without bothering my wife. 100% what I was looking for. The app needs some improvements. I'd love to have a widget to be able to set/check the alarm time - having to open up the app each night is tedious. I also love the "wake me back up if you sense I fall asleep after silencing the alarm feature", but without the watch having a sensor to tell if it's on my wrist, often I wake up, take the watch off to get into the shower, and it's on the counter buzzing and shocking away thinking I'm asleep. So instead I have to move around for 30 min before I can take it off and shower. I wish I could scan a QR code to say "yep, I'm really and truly up, you can disable the "wake me if I fall asleep" timer now.

Unreliable junk
The media could not be loaded. It's junk. I can't figure out why this thing is so expensive because it can't be made of anything good. I have $25 Bluetooth earbuds that have better connectivity than this thing. It worked waking me up exactly one time when I managed to pair it to my phone (Pixel 6) with difficulty. This thing will constantly fail to connect until you finally get it to go through one time (on a miracle). Problem is, it constantly disconnects itself. So, every time you go to bed you have to go into the Pavlok app and re-sync the thing to get it to work. However, even if you do that you are rolling the dice that the thing won't randomly disconnect itself from your phone in the middle of the night and fail to wake you up in the morning because of it. The whole point of this watch is to reliably wake up heavy sleepers and it can't even do that. It's useless without the app and it has no screen (despite it's price) so you have to rely on some light system on the side of the watch to determine what state that it is in.The connectivity of this thing is so bad that it now won't even pair to my phone at all (see video). It constantly just fails on "syncing alarms" (of which I only have one). I tried all their troubleshooting steps of forgetting the device in Bluetooth settings and trying to pair it over and over again but nothing works. I have the watch plugged in and sitting right next to my phone and this thing still can't connect. Now, imagine this thing working from over 10 feet away (not happening). I can't think that my phone is the problem as I have several other Bluetooth devices connected to it without any issues (a galaxy watch, Anker Bluetooth earbuds, and Razer Bluetooth headphones).I would give it a higher star rating because it isn't uncomfortable to wear and it can shock you to wake you up however since it can't even perform the one basic function it was created for I can't give it anything other than one star.I'm going to try to return it as it's junk that can't be relied on. It's basically useless at this point since it can't pair with the app on my phone. I'd rather it not end up in a landfill or worse in the ocean where it chokes out some poor sea turtle, but honestly, I don't think it could even manage to do that right.
