Great Book
We used this book in college and it was full of so much great information that I purchased it to keep for reference. (I have no idea what happened to my original book)

A very good foundation
This book will serve as a very good foundation from which you can build up your theoretical understanding of computer networks. The author uses a very friendly approach to explaining concepts. I highly recommed this book for beginners.

Purchased new; has some exterior issues
The corners of the book are a bit folded up and creased, as well as some more minute exterior flaws. Purchasing new shouldn't have this issue.

As expected
The book is just what I ordered. I haven't come across any production quality issues that others experienced.

This is the version that's only supposed to be sold in India, see red corner
That's what the text in that little red corner reads, that this book isn't supposed to be sold outside of India. In the foreword and thanks, there's mention of providing revisions for the Indian market's regulations. Sadly there seems to be no way to acquire a print version of this book in the US as Pearson only seems to now lease you the book for something like up to 3 years. Not very helpful if you want to have a reference to fall back on in the future. I'm unsure as to what the regulations-based revisions, etc. might be as I haven't gotten that far into the book, nor know enough about the worldwide landscape to be able to spot something that's different from elsewhere (it is a book intended to be an intro after all).

Good Writing, Bad Problems
The writing is solid. However, many of the practice problems are unrelated to the content covered in the chapter. It looks like they revised the content of the book and never updated the practice problems.

Month-Long Shipping
Shipping takes forever, but I did get the book and in good condition!

Not what I thought
I bought this book thinking it was the one I needed for my course. It had the right name, the right authors, but when I attempted to do the first assignment, the questions made no sense. In comparing it and the electronic version I go from Pearson, apparently, this one is a translation that should not have been sold outside the Indian subcontinent.
