This has been a cold Winter here so far. These are my favorite socks for my exercise walks outdoors. Theyare nice and warm but not bulky. I have a narrow size 11 1/2 foot and the large fits me perfect!

Bought these for cool weather hiking and running. So far they're warm enough for temps above 40 degrees. Seem like they'll be durable. I like that they're thin and comfortable too. As a bonus they also look decent.

I've tried various brands of wool socks for wintertime running. The experiment is over, and I'll never opt for anything other than Smartwool socks. They provide good cushioning without being too thick, and they keep my feet warm in freezing temperatures. They're more expensive than other brands, but they're well worth it.My only complaint is that they tend to develop holes in the big toes, but this occurs only after extensive use.

These are the best winter socks. I love the length. They never slide down, always stay snuggly in place, but are never too tight. They've never smelled, even after wearing them in many conditions when they should have.
