UPDATE: I guess I have to accept this bulb's limitations. To be more precise in my description of the problem, I should briefly describe the light that this bulb gives: Because of its LED design, the bulb emits a beam of light in a single direction, instead of the more desired diffused way an incandescent bulb would. The beam aims toward the BACK wall of my stove, instead of downward onto the stove where it is actually needed to illuminate my pots and pans, etc. Only the back wall behind the stove and the top of the stove's backboard is lit up. My working stove top is left only very dimly lit! Frankly that's what I call a revolting development! Oh, how I miss the incandescent bulbs. They were much more practical and effective. I will continue to look for incandescent bulbs, since I think they are still allowed in the US, for the use in appliances.The image for this oven bulb shows a dark narrow contact tip; the actual received bulb has a small dark tip, too, but it is surrounded by a large white ceramic-like surface that closely merges with the dark contact tip. The overall design is different from the older design for the corresponding incandescent bulb, which had a narrower tip and no white ceramic around it.The new design is probably modifying the needed contact areas for the bulb-oven connection.THE RESULT is that as soon as I screw in the bulb, the light is ON! The "light" button on my oven for controlling off-1-2, for two levels of light intensity no longer works! The bulb is always on.Now the only way for me to turn off the oven light is to unscrew it. That's my unsatisfactory workaround.ALSO, although the written description for this bulb says there are three bulbs for the stated price, there was only two bulbs in the package upon delivery.

The vast majority, if not all the less-than-Five-Star reviews for this bulb were based on the fact that the Listing title incorrectly stated that this Listing was for a package of 3 bulbs, and that is not the case (it is for a single LED bulb).When I posted a question asking if the Listing was for 1 or 3 bulbs, the seller promptly answered that it was for one - and he has since corrected the mistake in the listing. So there is no reason to hesitate to buy this bulb if you need one. The current price is very reasonable (about 15 percent less than what you'd pay at any home store, and besides, you'll save a few bucks on gasoline not to mention your time).I ordered the bulb and it arrived less than 36 hours later and it is new and fine. No issues at all with the item or the transaction.

So far the product is working correctly.It is a bummer that the package has been opened though.

It's perfect size for my fridge hard to find. Received sooner then expected.
