There is always more learning to learn especially with little kids through this book
I loved that this book gave me more of different view of how to teach literacy skills to preschoolers and how to overcome different issues with teaching preschoolers in the literature field.

Every ECE teacher should have to read this book!
I have been following Vanessa Levin at Pre-K Pages and Teaching Trailblazers for years. I thought I knew everything there was to know about teaching literacy in my classroom but after reading her brand new book, Teach Smarter: Literacy Strategies for Early Childhood Teachers, I came away with yet more AMAZING literacy tips and tricks that I can easily bring back to my classroom and use right away! I LOVE that she shares personal stories with us from her days as a teacher and personal stories and snippets from teachers around the world. Those stories and snippets prove that we are all in this together, to learn, grow, and want to give children the best learning opportunities possible! After reading this book I can’t help but feel I’m part of a movement to be the best teacher I can be and Vanessa is there cheering me on! This book is a MUST HAVE on every ECE teacher’s professional development shelf! -JC

Everything you need to know to teach children to read well!
I have followed Vanessa Levin’s Teaching Trailblazers group for awhile and get so much of my teacher tips, curriculum and continuing education from her and her summer Summit! I love her new book because it spells out exactly what to do in preschool/kindergarten to teach literacy well and completely. I’ve watched everything on her group site and still took away some new things from her book - she never disappoints!

Play Based Kinda….Guided Play is what it is not real play
I had hoped for more than a regurgitation from her website and blog. If you are a fan, and have read her blog….save your money….I will gift this to someone who doesn’t.

Awesome book
This is a great book for teachers and parents to read. Vanessa Levin explains clearly different strategies to help all children. She is an awesome person. I am a member of her group The teaching trailblazers and see how she focus on the needs of the children and she also supports the teachers and parents so that we do not get overwhelmed teaching our precious little ones.
