Handy for home and automotive

Keep finding new uses for these things! I've ordered these several times because I keep finding different ways of using them. Very strong when sticking to each other. I put one on the back of my phone and one on the dash of my vehicle BOOM instant phone holder. Also put one on the back of my bedroom TV remote and one on the side of the nightstand next to my bed, no more fumbling through the blankets wondering where the remote is, lol.

Strong for size.

If you need a strong magnet or 22 hold something on a mental surface, this is your answer. Would suggest to a friend

Super strong magnets. Easy to put on without the hassle of glue.

Good but CAREFUL!

Magnet is super strong and thankfully none of mine came broke like others who have purchased this. However, while they did not come broke I have cracked two while trying to separate them. Be careful because one SPARKED!! I much prefer the silver ones as those are harder for me to break.

Get multiple sizes. You’ll love there.

MULTIPLE ORDERS requested for these. I keep using them in things and needing more. I did get some 3M heavy duty stickers in addition so I can relocate these or have more durable attaching strength. Wish the stickers provided were stronger or had extras.

Death of a Magnet

This review is specifically about the magnets in Style 32x2 (32mm diameter/2mm thick). Before ordering them, I read the entire product description and viewed all the still photos. The magnets came packed securely inside a block of styrofoam contained in a box. I removed all the contents, but found no written instructions or warnings. I then slid the top magnet off the stack, and while doing so I could already sense how powerful they were, and how difficult it would be to separate them without the plastic ring in between. But to really test them, I held the single magnet loosely between my thumb and forefinger and brought it slowly toward the top of the stack; my intent being to return it to its original position. When the magnet was about an inch away from the others, it flew out of my fingers at warp speed and collided with the stack so forcefully that it shattered into a dozen pieces! I was stunned, because I had no clue that the magnet could explode on impact. Had I missed something? I went back and re-read the website product description. No, nothing there. So I decided to watch the video, which I hadn't done previously. I often skip videos if the product is simple, with no moving parts and no assembly required. This video attempts to provide information about how to avoid breakage, but it fails miserably. If you have a stopwatch app, or a watch that lets you keep track of time in seconds, you can play along with me and see what I mean. First, picture the image of a guy's arms from the elbow down; holding the stack of magnets and just fiddling with them. As soon as he appears onscreen, a message appears onscreen as well. Now, time yourself to see how long it takes you to read that message, which is exactly transcribed below. (Don't try to rush through it; just read it as you normally would, like I did.)"INCORRECT: DO NOT attempt to pull, lift, or pry magnet from the stack before sliding it to the side. DONOT allow the magnets to snap to each other or any magnetic surface. Doing so may cause magnets to break."So how did you do? It took me 8 seconds to read it, which is probably average. Now, guess how long the message remained onscreen in the video. If you guessed 4 seconds, that was a good guess, but wrong. It appeared onscreen for only 2 seconds! So I had to back it up and pause it in order to read the whole thing. But even if I'd read it before handling my magnets for the first time, I don't think it would have helped. It's confusing, because aren't magnets supposed to "snap" together, or onto a magnetic surface? We expect magnets to behave in a "snappy" way, so it's not about the snapping. It's about controlling the angle of the magnet and its distance from another surface before it makes contact, to control the force of the impact. The 2-second segment of the video showing a guy fiddling with the magnets should be replaced with a demonstration of how a magnet shatters when it's mishandled, and how to handle it properly. And obviously this new and improved segment would be at least 8 seconds long; enough time to actually read the instructions and warning. If I was rating this product based only on the magnets' strength and other characteristics, I'd give it 5 stars. But since one magnet had to die before I learned how to protect the others, I took away one star for failure to include a warning in the website description or inside the package, and I took another star away because the video had virtually no educational value whatsoever.

Not so great adhesion on aluminum.

Adhesion not as good as I need. Magnet was great

Current packaging method seems to directly address past reported quality issues

I got these for a new mini-fridge. Specifically to hang up some mini-posters that I had covered by polycarbonate plastic sheets to protect them. While it took more magnets that I expected ... including add some of a different variety entirely at the bottom ... I don't blame the magnets themselves. The previous mini-fridge had a metal exterior. This one doesn't. And, the magnets' description had said that they worked best with highly magnetic materials like iron; that steel was less magnetic by nature. Additionally, the front of the fridge has a subtle curve and the 12"x18",3mm plastic sheets, being the same thickness of the magnets, further lessons their strength. So, I'm fully aware that my particular use is less than ideal ... and that, when just used directly on a poster without the plastic, they're extremely strong. But ,what I wanted to provide feedback on was the steps the manufacturer has taken to address past consumer complaints about receiving broken magnets. In those cases, it looks like magnets were being shipped in a tube ... all in line with a separator". Their current package ... both for the 6-packs and 12-packs ... now has 6-magnet groups .... in a plastic, horizontal tray ... where each individual magnet has a slot in the tray to hold it securely and to protect it. While the separators are still provided, they aren't needed this way to keep the magnets separated and each magnet can easily be removed from its slot without interacting with the others. It's always nice when companies do respond to such past feedback to ensure they are providing the desired level of quality to the consumer.
