I needed a swivel base that stay together in a non-conventional use. I have 2, mounted on my garage ceiling. Each has a fan weighing 6-8 pounds hanging beneath it which means the "load" is constantly trying to pull them apart instead of pressing them together as in normal use. In my case, the center "pin" which keeps the assembly together, carries the full load of the fans. It is really heavy duty and non-removable, which I consider a good thing. Unfortunately, this also means there is no dis-assembly for cleaning or repair. The ball bearings are somewhat exposed and will collect dust over time. The bearings are actually under no load and should last forever.When the fans are on, these swivels are subjected to constant vibration - 4 to 8 hours a day thru this past summer. They have held up well and I would highly recommend them for this use. Can't say how they would perform under compression ("normal operating use").

Couldn’t get it to lineup with my boat seat

Bought 4 bar stools that were fixed. Adapted this 8” by drilling new holes on base side and screwing the other side to the wood seat. Seat turns great. Only in kitchen so not used heavy every day. If it falls apart, I’ll update this

Very low quality. Lasted about 2 weeks and both of them fell apart.

I was going to replace my swivel barstools because they made so much noise turning ~ the chairs were still in good shape but the noise when kids sat in them was annoying ~ I looked it up on YouTube ~ found I could order these~ it take no time to remove the old one & put on the new 8 bolts & you’re done! Very sturdy! Easy to replace!

Perfect replacement for me. My swivels actually measured 7.5” but these bolted in great. Very happy.
