The density of the foam is just right for balance therapy. I recommend this size for adults. It is a high quality pad.

This works great for balance exercises, plus I use it when doing weight bearing on my wrists and knees.

I hate this balance pad. It's hard to use and difficult to balance upon. On the other hand, my balance is getting better. So much pain, so much gain. Got the balance pad on the recommendation of my physical therapist. She uses the same pad in her office. It works.

Product is fine but the description doesn't convey the softness/firmness. I really needed something less firm to improve balance but the lack of a complete description ended-up with purchasing something less than effective. I'll keep it anyway but a better description would have been helpful.
