Good job !! Save you tons of money from the mechanic!!
Does a great job. Saved me a lot of money already!!!I have a big shaking with my truck, F150 5.4 triton. The mechanic was already talking about a grand to fix that.Actually this little device told me that the issue was just a deficient O2 sensor, with its location. I just bought a new sensor on Amazon, and changed it buy myself who has pretty basic mechanic skills.Lately, new issue. Shaking on the highway. This little guy told me, even if no engine lights was on, that the cylinder #8 was misfiring. After a little look on google, turns out the ignition coil was défaillant. Hop, new one for 40$ on Amazon, and I'm good until the next problem. Can you even imagine the amount of the bill if I had to see my mechanic every time ? Thank you Veepeak , that's it :-)Do yourself a favor, buy it !!

Easy, Simple, Fast!!!!!
Love this!!! I honestly just needed to TURN OFF my 'Check Engine' light. I knew what was wrong....water in gas and it was taking a few fill-ups to fix problem. As I had just bought my perfect 1996 Explorer XLT, I wanted to make sure I was catching all problems. This took a couple minutes to set up and another minute to read "lean fuel". No surprises. I repeated just in case, then erased. Restarted engine. Cleared and now has stayed clear for 50 miles and another addition of HEET with fill-up. No more stress!! Did I mention I am a 66 year old woman!?? Best 15.00 spent yet on my new ride!

Decent
Good product for the value, works good. Great does the job and good to have on hand; my only issue was the shipping. The item took longer than expected because the first item was lost dealing with USPS. The seller was very helpful and responsive at every step. Seller answered all my questions and concerns while shipping another item.Thank you

Worked on both Jeep and BMW ;-)
Quik! Compared to my older profe$$ional unit this thing is lightning. It also saves me the trouble of looking up most common codes as the easy to read display spells most data out.I also like that it has no internal cells (batteries). This is what killed my last one. The AA cells leaked and corroded the board. These things generally sit for long periods and in hot/cold places so batteries tend to leak. No worries here...Worked on both my 2007 Jeep and 2007 BMW X3. Very pleased ;-)(One small issue/non-issue, as others have mentioned it just doesn't seem to get that it actually succeeded in clearing codes instead always reporting "fail". No biggie however as it does actually clear them)

Handy, conveient, and easy to use
I'm sort of a 'prepper' when it comes to my car. I keep quite a few things in it for 'just in case' occurrences and this is one of the items that i bought and keep stored in it. I've had to use it a few times now when my check engine light came on and it's worked perfectly. I love having it handy and not having to take the car to the shop or a parts store to know the problem.

Not to shabby for the $$$
Own a 2007 Honda Civic. 10 years old and for the first time the check engine light came on. Did the unscrew/rescrew gas cap trick, and after a few miles no dice. The light was still on. Figured it was more serious. Ordered the obdII scanner plug her in and voila!!! P0128 code came up. Bad thermostat most likely. Reset the code and changed out the thermostat. Not bad for $70 (scanner, thermostat, coolant) would've cost $40 in parts and $140 in labor with the mechanic so I'm satisfied.

Fits and works
Documentation is a bit scant but for the price, it is a good buy. I initially could not locate a compatible connection on our old Camry but once I did (it is ingeniously hidden behind the little coin box under the parking brake release) the reader worked well. It came up with the error code and was able to reset it...not a scarry problem.

Reads Codes Quickly
Works as described. Can’t beat it for the price. Mine was clearly a return because the screen has many large scratches. But, it doesn’t inhibit the use. When trying to clear codes an error message states that it was unable to clear, but it actually does clear the code.
