Be sure to write down the measure the space you have, and write down inner of the outside of safe to learn if it will fit in your area or vehicle and if what you put inside (measure that too) will fit. Came with a set of 2 keys (nice touch, but please consider making 2 more copies, to have spares), a lock, plus comes with a steel cable to tie and lock your safe to something you can loop around it, so that the box is tethered to it. Be aware, you get what you pay for, and anyone can pry this open with a screw driver. If you must leave it in a car, buy a stronger, heaver safe (more expensive). The paint on mine came with some of the paint stripped or fallen off around the rim edges, but I did not mind, was a cheap coat of paint. I will only use mine if I really must, and just for a few minutes where I can watch my car from a window or a few yards away. Before buying, always measure the inner storage boxes in your care, where you plan to keep this safe, and write down the measure of the inner of this box as well, the external size, and inner size to ensure your item fits, such as if you plan to store a weapon. The inner of this box is soft, and will not scratch your gun. Take measurements. Good price. Packaging it came in was poor, so please be aware that when it arrives, do not use a knife or rug cutter to open the box, try use your bear hands, or else you will scratch the safe easily; It will take you a couple of minutes to open it, but well worth it to keep it looking nicer unscratched. The outside of the safe scratches easily, a 38, 6 rounds cylinder, would not fit as this safe was not wide enough. But when I easily removed the 2 inner safe sponge covers, the gun fit, but had to wrap a thin cloth around gun to not scratch and prevent it from moving. Later, save up for a steel thick heavier safe and thicker cable, as although this one is sheet metal thin, though price was great.

I didn't use this for it's intended purpose of holding a weapon.Instead I used it to contain all the electronics when I re-wired by ebike.I drilled 2 large holes on the hinged side to run wires into with gromets.I also drilled 4 smaller holes in the bottom to secure it to my bike rack.I love the locking mechanism. It's a little bit finicky, the position has to be just right to lock properly, but I've had no problems with it so far. The box seems heavy duty enough for what I needed it for. Keeps all my electronics safe and lockable with just a little bit of room for extra storage.

hinge was welded crooked had to "align" it to get it to close, also a butter knife could open it if you pry in the right spot..it does lock my snubnose up technically it does function as advertised but i do not recommend it.

This box is ok, but not great. The steel cable that is supposed to prevent it from walking away looks like a piece of wire.I'm going to make up a stronger cable.

I have three of these now, one for my car, one for my truck, and one for my BOB. These are great for securing weapons and valuables to protect against opportunity thieves. Very difficult to open but a determined thief could gain access or manage to remove. Overall, a good investment in security.

Perfect for keeping my conceal carry locked up while I'm working. Surprisingly sturdy construction for the price. Someone could still get in if they really wanted to, but it's sturdy enough to make them work for it.
