A 1950s Childhood Special Edition: From Tin Baths to Bread and Dripping

Bought as a present and recipient very pleased. Read the few pages shown online, and there were lots of memories that took both me and hubby back to our late 1940’s - 1950’s childhood. Lots of nostalgia to talk about. Very pleased with purchase.

Bought this book for my husband for Christmas and he absolutely loves it, takes him back to his childhood my brother who was with us for Christmas also loved reading the book think he's looking into purchasing one.Would highly recommend

Bought for mother in law and she has lived this book for her 80th and it’s being shared arround her friends!

Its a great book full of interesting facts and anecdotes however my one gripe is that being in my late 70's abdmy age group are the ones reading it,i found the typeface print was very grey and hard to read,more like a laser print and not a true black.Its a shame because it made the whole reading experience harder.

I brought this book for a present for my dad......he has not put it down. Its brought back lots of happy memories, many forgotten and he has passed it on for my mum to read.

The book is wonderful , born in Battersea in 1943 . Remember those days like it was yesterday . The good old days , everybody helped everyone out if they could albeit a cup of sugar , a cup of milk, an egg ,you name it . THE GOOD OLD DAYS .
