Well designed quality product.
If you want to attach a generator to power your home, consider this transfer switch as a must have minimum. It uses standard cicuit breakers you can replace at your hardware store. It has heavy gauge wire, solid construction, and comes with detailed wiring instructions. I installed and wired it myself, then had a pro electrician inspect what I did to be safe. This is a good well designed and quality product. But you have to put in the effort and plan carefully.

Great way to connect a portable generator
Purchased this to install in my unfinished basement next to the main panel to connect an EcoFlow Delta to my home and also allow me to connect a gas generator if desired. EcoFlow sells a six circuit version also made by Reliance with their brand however this ten circuit panel allows more flexibility. Reliance markets this as a DIY project if you’re comfortable working with electricity. They also have excellent installation videos on YouTube. I chose to have it professionally installed. It’s fairly heavy, and took both installers to mount blocking between two studs, hold and measure, and run the conduit. I’m glad I didn’t attempt it myself. They were impressed with the design, all wires are adequate length and labeled which made the actual connection to the main panel straightforward especially for a pro. They were done in two hours.I purchased a 30A inlet plug also here on Amazon which is mounts in the front. Also, got a 30A to 15A conversion plug so I can connect the EcoFlow, or alternatively run the. 30A cord from my gas generator outside if needed. My main shutoff is outside the house near the meter, and my panel is full, so adding another main shutoff in the basement with an interlock was actually more expensive as a subpanel would have been needed.

quality product with fast shipping
Fast shipping. I ordered this late on Thursday evening and it was delivered on the next Sunday. I was expecting at least a week or more shipping as the vendor is in California but they have warehouses across the US.I bought the indoor model so weatherproofing wasn't a big deal. This transfer box uses conventional circuit breakers and it has a list of the compatible replacements on the cover. I replaced all the 15 amp breakers with 20 amp ones to make sure I had a rating as high as my main panel. The only tough part of installation was getting the wires into my panel box because the harness is pretty stiff with 12 wires to get into the 1 inch conduit opening. Plus I shortened the provided metal conduit in order to make it fit in my mounting area. Most of the circuit lines had the appropriate letter, A-J, marked on both the red and black wires except about four that had the line marked once on the end. I added wire tag markings on those 4 just in case it ever had to be removed. Today I got to use it during our big national deep freeze snow storm and I like the two load meters.Reliance Controls has a very good you tube channel with clear and simple installation instruction videos which added to my confidence in installation. I had installed a smaller transfer switch about 15 yeas ago and reviewing the videos assured me of a proper and safe installation. A clean professional looking product I highly recommend.

Great switch, seems high quality, easy to set up
I've not used it "in anger" yet -- only for the test runs. Setup was easy & straightforward, I swapped out the 15amp breakers for 20s, no big deal.Only real issue is trying to identify the wire pairs, and route them out through the case, and then through the (provided) metal conduit. Painful to trace, would be nice if they were somehow 'bonded' and pull-apart (think the one kind of twizzlers). The metal conduit can be very sharp, a couple wires were nicked, but not enough to get through anywhere. The meters seemed a bit finicky, will have to see when i need to run it for real.

From a brand you can trust
At the time I bought this (few months ago), Amazon had the cheapest price for it. I installed it myself (tested and works perfectly). I wanted something that enabled me to see not only the watts coming in, but what was being used by what I had running. And I wanted more than 4 circuits. This is hooked up to a 9,000 watt/30A gen. Not whole house, but it will easily power the main stuff I need. Watched a few videos on installation. I have done some electrical work before so I am not a complete novice. But it was easier than I thought it would be after watching the videos, heck saved me over $500, and looks like a pro installed it. I tried 4 different electrician's, I guess they were so busy they couldnt be botherd to get back with me, so I did it myself.

A310C versus 310C differences
Just a heads up for others in the same boat. You may notice that there is a A310C versus 310C sold here. Same 10 breaker MTS, 30Amp service. Even the photos look identical, because Amazon seems to be using the A310C photo here incorrectly. The two are similar but the difference is the breakers. I’ve talked to Reliance who offer excellent support and they say the differences is the breakers and the amp ratingsA3101-30 amp double pole1-20 amp double pole6-15 amp single pole3101-20 amp double pole2-20 amp single pole6-15 amp single poleThe current photo at amazon (3/15/24) shows two double pole breakers in A/B and C/D which is incorrect. Five stars to Reliance for superior cust service that is responsive and accurate. Look forward to wiring this up.

Great Product!
I should have had this 10 switch installed in the first place! We found out during the last hurricane that we needed more circuits added. Now I am ready with our ECOFlow as well! (Bought that on Amazon too)
