This cushion (and the back rest) saved me money from having to buy a desk chair. The desk chair in the room I am now in was so uncomfortable I couldn't stand to be in it more than 30 minutes at most - my back hated that chair, so did my old piriformis injury--even getting up a lot and moving around as I do, this chair was simply awful.I stumbled on an ad for these cushions and decided to order from Amazon, even though amazon is becoming iffy on some things, like why did the cushion come in a box but the back support did not? Was it returned and sold again - ew - you can never trust Amazon anymore to know quality control or the newness of something.This seat is high so I have to use a foot rest but I had one any way since I'm only 5'2". it molds to my body. I'm about 117 pounds and I have plenty of room. It fits on the chair so there's not very much overhang, and this chair is not very big.It's cushiony but not soft, supportive. My back pain and leg pain were relieved by 85%-90%. And if I get up plenty of times, sometimes I have no pain (this is with the back support, so note that).Function wise, it does what I need it to do. It's sturdy, helps with pain relief, and comforts to my body instead of being a hard flat surface.

We eat dinners in the family room while watching a movie and sit on an old couch with a coffee table that raises to table height. I am 77 years old and sitting on the worn and flattened cushions of the couch was causing pain in my hips so that it was difficult to walk for a bit when I got up from the couch. By the end of a 2-hour movie, my legs were uncomfortable, beginning to ache, and felt like the blood supply was cut off from them because the couch cushion flattened so that the frame of the couch was hitting the back of my thigh.Since we haven't found time to get out to find a replacement couch, I turned to Amazon to find a temporary solution. I ordered this "butt cushion" in addition to 4 others in hopes that one of them would relieve the discomfort of sitting on our couch. I wanted something firm enough to overcome the flattening of the old couch cushions, but, it trying the different cushions, I found that shape and size is also important. Since I weigh 112 lbs., most of the cushions I ordered were firm enough, but the support offered by each was different. Some flattened after a short time, and some just weren't very comfortable because of the shape.This cushion is more expensive than the others I tried, but saving money at the expense of less comfort wasn't an option. I have been using this cushion every night for over a week, and no longer have the hip pain when I get up from the couch. The leg discomfort is also gone. The 4 other cushions have been returned. Since I weigh 112 lbs., I can't vouch for how this cushion would hold up to more weight, but it works for me and I am happy with it.UPDATE 07/30/24:I have been using this "butt cushion" every evening for at least 3 hours for the last 2 months, and I wouldn't want to do without it. In this time, it has not flattened at all, is very supportive, and perfectly fits the contour of my butt and thighs so I no longer get pains in my hips and legs from sitting on our old couch. You would think that finding a suitable cushion to sit on would be an easy task. In my experience of trying different cushions, I found that the perfect cushion is a very personal thing. Not only does it have to supply a comfortable firmness for support, but it must conform to your individual "butt contour". It is often necessary to try more than one to find the one that is perfect for you. This cushion is all that for me.UPDATE 12/16/24:I have now been using this cushion on my couch to sit on for over 6 months. It is still as supportive as it was when new, and has not flattened at all. Since using it, I have not had pains in my hips or legs after sitting on the couch. The cushion is so comfortable, we have put off getting a new couch. I suppose this is the only down side to having a comfortable cushion to sit on.I hope this review was helpful for you.

This is a great product that delivers what it promises. If I travel for over 15 minutes my back after having back surgery would stove up and I would have to stand for 2 or 3 minutes before I move. I bought the seat cushion because I travel sometimes 2 hours between jobs. After putting the seat cushion in my car I had an hour drive to my first appointment I get out of the car and I immediately go to meet the customer my back felt great. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this because my office chair is about 7 years old and the seat cushion is just flat, hard, and uncomfortable now. I was getting pretty bad sciatica pains and stuff hips. Upon first several months of use, it was wonderful as it relieved pressure points and I sat with better posture. I work from home and I try to split my time sitting and standing with my adjustable desk. Eventually, I needed some more support for my back, so I purchased the back cushion too (great product). But, over time, I became somewhat of a slouchy sitter, and due to the angle I certainly did some more damage than good despite both cushions. Good to maybe rotate different type of cushions or frequently changing from sitting to standing if you can while working for long periods.

I bought one of these for my aunt who had hip replacement surgery and needed relief while sitting. She had one that her son got her, but she said this one was much better and had more cushion and support! She told me she moves it to her walker so she will have it on her walker seat. As a result of her telling me this, I bought a 2nd one so she wouldn't have to move it to her walker. She is so happy and it helps her hip tremendously. Highly recommend - a little pricey, but well worth it.

Initially great. Then it begins to flatten. Causes a little problem with circulation at back of thigh. I still like it but sad that it is flatter now.I like the height, and still glad to sit on because it gives my tailbone, which has been broken twice, great relief.But I bought it for long hours of doing Sudoku and word search puzzles, and I can’t sit on it for very over two hours.

This cushion is thick enough, but the shape makes it a bit difficult to get properly positioned. Once I get my rear in the right place, it works pretty good. The problem is getting there. It is definitely better than some others, but still looking for the best one.

This cushion saves me from lower back pain (sciatica) from sitting for long hours while working. My tailbone and hips thank me for getting this cushion. Worth it!
