FLASH HOBBY D3548 1100KV Brushless Motor for RC Models (1100kv)

This motor is fantastic. I mounted it to a Sturdy Birdy 25 that previously had an O.S. nitro 25 size engine. I mounted this 1100KV version with a 11x6 prop and turned this old sturdy Birdy into a rocket. At 75% throttle the aircraft will climb straight up. Ive been using a 3300mah 4S 60 c battery. I have also tried a more expensive e-flite 25 with a10x6 which had similar power numbers. (Using the aircraft climbing straight up without being in full power as a standard.) You can’t go wrong for the price and would highly recommend this motor to anyone who is looking for a 25 nitro equivalent. You will have to run a slightly bigger prop since torque is this motor’s strong point.

I have 2 of these. One is on my 5lbs. Hots 3D with an 11x7 APC It is pulling 7.5lbs on 4S. The second is going on an 8lbs plane and with an APC 12x6 it is pulling over 9lbs static drawing 63 amps on 4s. I haven't even thought about going to 5S. running both with 80 amp ESCs.

With this $20 EvMotor and a 60A Esc I converted a Nitro to a 3s LiPo. Cost $$ of Nitro just to fly was double what this EvMotor Esc and LiPo cost. Nitro is big big $$ everywhere. Even to mix your own it better to buy this motor Esc LiPo than to fly Nitro. Future Nitro will be 200% more expensive. Im sorry I could not do a simple gasser. Noone can.

Burnt up so fast even after setting all parameters properly.

This motor has worked great on my biplane. Love the power. It however does not like a wind sheer nose plow into the ground. Replace with a new one exactly like it because I love the way it runs.
