I wanted to get into Magnet fishing for my YouT*be channel Fishing_With_Big-Dand got to searching for a decent powered magnet kit to try out. I found this product and ordered it.price wasn't bad and it looked like quality materials in the kit. the item shipped fast and appears to be everything as detailed in the product information. the magnet is strong and so far I have used it several times fishing at piers and bridges and found some neat little items like knives and a watch and fishing stuffoverall the product met my needs and was priced decent . I would buy again if needed

Nice looking fishing magnet. Easy to use. Functions as it should. Fairly strong. Holds heavier items well.

Pros: comes with lots of accessories. Works.Cons: might be strong as is described, but wasn’t as strong as was expected. Magnet had trouble picking up small pieces of steel in grass and items could be pulled back off pretty easily. Haven’t tried in water but was underwhelmed by its performance on land.

Super easy to set up, and seems like a quality magnet. This is my first magnet fishing magnet but it's super strong, so I'm happy with it. The rope is good quality, and it comes with a bottle of thread glue for the I hooks so I'm sure it's not going anywhere. Pretty fun to take to the lake.

Bought for my 11 yo son and found that I had just as much fun as him.lol ! Didn't find much but made great family time memories!!! Magnet was as strong as id say you would need for something like this...rope could have been a bit better quality but in all was a great purchase.i would recommend for any father son family time experience!!!!!!!!

So, the fine print will tell you that since both sides of the magnet are exposed, the pulling force is calculated by the sum of both sides. Meaning, ideally, this thing should be able to lift a 500lb object with each side. I am very skeptical of that claim. I use this in a steel mill to retrieve tools we drop and it struggles with crow bars and hammers. Very nice quality build. I intend to buy another from the same company but I will get a much stronger one next time.

Perfect little kit, bought it for my dad on a whim one day down at the river. He really enjoyed watching those magnet fishing videos on YouTube. Never really caught anything interesting, but it definitely did its job!

the magnet was so weak, i doubt that it could pull 20 pounds (and, i am not exagerating).A truly strong magnet would likely be neodynium or "rare earth";this one claims to be WAY stronger than it actually is.I needed something that really clicks on it's target and is ready to pull it up.The feel of this one was such that i could easily move it off any old object with one hand.Disappointed (but, nit surprised).
